My family attended St. Jude for over a decade, and despite our best efforts to get involved, we were just a number in this mega church. The 10am and noon masses are so overcrowded I don't know how the fire marshall hasn't reprimanded them. There aren't enough seats so people are crowded standing along side and back walls. The priest's solution is to announce for people to "squeeze together" more instead of adding additional mass times. They added a Spanish mass that is no where near capacity, but refuse to add any more English masses despite the overcrowding and lack of seats. If you get there early to get a seat, you'll be squished in. If you step out with a fussy baby, or to take a child to the restroom, your seat won't be there when you return. Confession times are limited so people are often turned away from the sacrament after waiting in line for over an hour. The final straw that confirmed our decision to leave was the way St. Jude handled the situation where an employee put a hidden camera in the restroom. They made one announcement at mass to tell what happened, then completely shut down the conversation. My child was directly affected by this and when I followed up with the church office they wouldn't tell me anything (like what happened to the pictures of my child.) They told me they needed to protect the privacy of the employee and his family. The rights of my child (and countless others affected) were not a priority. I thought years of sexual abuse scandals and cover ups in the Catholic Church would have made transparency more of a priority but it didn't. So disappointed in St. Jude, and ashamed that our children received so many sacraments here. I wish we could go back and do things differently, mainly keep our children safe by...

We come together to learn about the Word of God in the Litugy of the Word. The Old Testament reveals the heritage of our Judeo History. The Gopels teach us of the Words, Life, and the Saving Grace of Jesus. They encourage us to grow in the Knowledge, Love, Faith, and Relationship of our Redeemer Christ. The Epistles teach us how to Love God, the Holy Trinity and to Love our fellow Man.
In the Liturgy of the Eucharist, we celebrate a little Easter as we participate in the Life, Passion, Crucifixion, Death, Resurrection, and His Glorious Ascension. The Living Christ Transforms the Bread and Wine into His Body and Blood, the Great Mystery of our Faith. His Grace fills the innermost part of our being and sustains our well being. THANKS BE TO GOD.
We then are encouraged to take Christ out into the World. We are to pray, covene, act, and live in Christ as He lives in us. To love our families, deepen our personal relationship with Christ, and respect the dignity of every human being, this is our Cross to bear and witness.
So, these are the experiences that I receive at St Jude Catholic Parish. I encourage one and all, Experience the...
Read moreI cried the fist time I went to Noon Mass (contemporary choir).
My familly joined the parish in February 2024 and the community is so involved and we definitely felt like we could become part of it.
I asked to join their music ministry and was told yes right away. I learn so much from them every time we meet for practice and service.
Hubby went to their Welcome retreat and I can't wait to go to the women's one. He LOVED it and recommends it wholeheartedly.
The priests and deacons give amazing homilies and they have so many groups to fill anyone and everyone's spiritual tank. Lot's of formation opportunities for all age groups.
Daycare available, cry room available for us anxious parents, living room area with speakers so your kiddo can take a break while you're still listening to Mass. It's perfect for our family (our youngest is autistic) At first we went into the cry room bc the large sanctuary was too much for him, but now he can sit with the congregation, but might need a reset walk around every couple of Sundays.
There is an annual fall...
