I rarely leave poor reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. I was in the women’s clothing section and asked an associate (I believe her name was Denise — African American woman with short hair) a simple question about an exchange. I asked whether I needed to wait in the checkout line first or find the replacement item and then get in line. Her response and overall attitude were unnecessarily rude and dismissive. She acted as though I had done something wrong just for asking, rolling her eyes and making comments about how she couldn’t identify the item. When I showed her the sticker tag on the box- she had nothing else to say. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Thankfully, I later spoke with another associate in the jewelry department (I didn’t catch her name), and she was the complete opposite — incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She took the time to walk me through the process, helped me find what I needed, and went out of her way to make sure my issue was resolved.
I hope management recognizes the jewelry associate for her excellent customer service and addresses the behavior I experienced in the women’s clothing section. One employee made me never want to come back, and another reminded me why I usually love shopping at TJ Maxx.
Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to this location. Very sad to be in customer service and be so rude to customers. I understand we’re all humans and everyone has hard days, but I was simply asking a question and needed guidance. I didn’t expect to walk into such a...
Read moreI was in Homegoods today and Kaitlyn dropped my vase I was purchasing and broke it!!! She had on blue gloves and was not holding it securely and dropped it on the counter smh
She then said “Oh did I break that?” and just sat it to the side and kept ringing things up. Then had the nerve to say “is that all for you today? like she didn’t just break my vase that it took me 3 weeks to find for one of my client’s design projects!!!
She then expected me when I called her out for it to go walk find another one. I told her “no, YOU should be looking for another one because YOU broke it!”
I asked for a manager and she went to the front and said it was being taken care of and walked away.
Yet she failed to include that she just broke the only vase left in the store I needed. I told her manager Steve what happened and how she never even apologize for what she did and he said he would be talking to her about it . He tried calling for other near stores to see if they had it but none had one. He was about to call the Irving store and I told him forget it because I was not driving that far for something I did not even do.
So guess what - I was back at square one and had to speaks the next 2-3 hours looking for another vase elsewhere. BAD BAD BAD Customer service and I felt very disrespected and she disregarded what she did like it was nothing and this is not a situation to be taken lightly. This really inconvenienced me as a business owner.
I go to this location pretty often but they have lost...
Read moreI don't visit tjmaxx often and was really interested in finding a few rings today. I know at this time everywhere is busy and I get that. I'm thinking maybe not a lot of employees available either and I understand that too. Yet I felt so rushed and disregarded today. I didn't care how long I had to wait and was even willing for others to go before me because I know I was going to take a awhile with my choices. The employee there made not so great comments when I started to look at different rings and rushing me as well. Comments were made such as, you better get it, you need to make a choice, you need to hurry up since there are other customers waiting and so on. I told her in the nicest way that I was sorry. Her response was, you don't need the be sorry. Well I thought to tell her, you are making feel like the worst customer ever but I didn't. I rushed and picked a ring I wasn't really sure on but it's ok I'm going to keep it. I was going to choose a few more pieces to purchase but decided against it. The ring I had tried on before was one I decided not to get since it was too big. She took both of them with her and after repeating myself several times, saying I'm only getting one. She ignored me or just wanted to hurry up and finally she heard me. I know you guys are busy and probably short handed but I feel the whole experience makes me not want to ever come back. I'll think about...
