I tell you what! I did not realize what kind of experience I was missing out on by not ordering from Lay-Z-Boy years ago. Where do I begin! The experience in the store was pretty top notch, very friendly, not too salesy and let us do our thing. I was the biggest buzzkill and kept saying things like "but honey isn't this just cheap factory junk?" And "I thought you said you wanted high quality stuff that would last why are we here?" But boy was I wrong. When I checked out, I was guaranteed they would be working away on our custom furniture for the next 8 months! Well ya know what they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, so surely a layzboi couch wasn't! In fact I still cannot tell you how long it takes to properly build one as i still haven't received it. Yes yes, it was supposed to be delivered in early October and I can see how a weaker man might be annoyed but not me. I know all things happen for a reason. There is no way anyone could have QC'd the couch when it was finished at the factory, sorry I mean the woodshop where it was delicately constructed by skilled Craftsman. There is no way anyone who packaged it would have seen the giant tears in the leather I was told would need to be fixed by the delivery company before they delivered it. I will say it's an interesting experience paying the amount I did for an all napa leather sectional and the being told it's brand new, wait no it's damaged, wait no it's really really damaged and we need to reskin it, wait no we really have no idea when you will have it sorry! But ya know, everyone's human right? Mistakes are made and they get fixed! I'm sure any day now I'll be getting a phone call from the nice gentleman that accepted all my money those 10 months. I imagine it will go something like "hey man sorry you bought a really expensive brand new couch and we are Instead giving you a refurbished one and sorry it's like way late and you won't have it for Christmas." I'm pretty sure the call will come any day, he has yet to respond to my last email Inquiring what's going on, so i assume he is just wanting to hop on a call and clear the air. Like I said, 5 star customer service when they were selling me the couches so I can't imagine this would change now, I have hope! If you have made it to the end of this review I applaud you and I will just reiterate, if you want top quality customer service and leather sectionals then go no further! They have presidents day sales, winter holiday sales, everything you could ask for. And just remember, while it takes nine months to make a baby, it takes even longer to bring a piece of lay z boy furniture into the world, and when it actually gets to your house, that my friends, is where the...
Read moreIn January of this year, 2022, We went furniture shopping for a house we were building. We were approached by Syed who slyly convinced us to trust him. By this time as I am writing this 1 star review, We have found out what a CROOK Syed has been. How he lied to us and took advantage of our ignorance in trusting a "salesman." Syed has refused to stand by his word of "no penalty if we change our mind" and now the store has refused to refund us our $1700. We asked Syed severally if there was any penalty for changing our mind at any time about the purchase. He repeatedly said NO and told us we could change our mind even up to delivery and they'd take the furniture back no penalties. YEP Well, he did a 180° switch on us. Due to building delays, shortages and personal incidents in our building process, we reached out to Syed in April and told him we couldn't continue with the purchases. These items were all back ordered by 1 year and 90% of them weren't available at the time. He pretty much told us our issues weren't his concern and we should let him know when they can deliver the items we no longer needed/wanted, 8+ Months away). He tried to convince us we ordered custom pieces which is a LIE. 80% of the furniture we selected were from 3rd party vendors that are also carried by other stores. Nothing we ordered was customized, only extra pieces. We have made numerous efforts to speak to the general manager and owner to no avail. Syed made promises to the hearing of my entire family who was with us that day. How you treat people says a lot for a business and for a Store Manager to be this dubious, I am extremely shocked and traumatized by our entire experience. From looking for help to rectify this issue amicably, I have found this to be a common practice amongst LazyBoy stores. Please search FB groups and read the low star reviews before making purchases with this store or any LazyBoy. I never thought this would be our experience with their "4" star ratings on Google. We have decided to file a claim at the county small...

These days, we’re all used to those “how did we do?” surveys after a purchase. You know the drill—tap five stars, check a box, done in 30 seconds. But every now and then, you run into service so exceptional, it deserves more than a quick click.
That was my recent experience at La-Z-Boy, thanks to Chris and Lori.
A few days before my visit, I called the showroom and Christopher Winn picked up. From the very start, he was genuinely interested in my needs—not just as a potential sale, but as a person. He took the time to hear the details of my current chair (which I loved but had clearly seen better days), and we set up a time for me to visit.
On the morning of our appointment, Chris confirmed I was still coming—already a nice touch. When I walked in, he had already selected several chairs tailored to my preferences. It was clear he had listened. Eventually, we realized a power recliner would be the best fit. That’s when Lori DeBerry, the Gallery Manager, stepped in seamlessly. She added great insights and value, and together, they walked me through the process with professionalism and genuine care.
Here’s the kicker: I came in thinking I’d spend under $1,000. I walked out thrilled to have spent over $3,000. Not because I was “sold,” but because I wanted to. Chris and Lori didn’t act like salespeople—they acted like trusted guides helping me find exactly what I needed and wanted.
They didn’t just earn five stars. They earned a lifelong customer.
And what made it even more special? My 20-year-old college student granddaughter was with me. Watching two pros in action gave her a real-world lesson in business done right. That experience? Absolutely a 4.0 on the GPA scale—smart, sharp, and something she’ll remember long after the chair...
