I'm extremely disappointed to have to leave this review because this used to be my favorite place to go with my fiance. Lately, though, it's been getting steadily worse, leading up to the experience that I had last night.
Firstly, there was only one server for the entire store. Not only was he the only server, he was also apparently the only busser, host, etc. At one point he was working the register. This was a deployment disaster, and he was in no way equipped to handle the number of tables that were seated. At least 5 of the tables were unseatable, still covered in the remnants of previous diners.
We ordered our drinks, which we got about 15 minutes later, then he came to take our food order. My chicken tenders arrived cold, and my fries tasted stale. This is something I could forgive. He was obviously backed up. Then my fiance bit into his chicken tenders to discover a mysterious lime-green substance that was so rancid he immediately ran to the restroom to puke. I took the plate over to the kitchen staff, as our waiter was nowhere to be found, and about 20 minutes later they brought a replacement. I cut up the chicken tenders to make sure there were no surprises, and found two pieces with tendons in them. At no time during this did the server come to refill our waters or my coffee. Basically, at this point there was just no way we were eating this food. I only managed two of my five pieces, and 7 hours later I'm still suppressing the urge to vomit. Then our friend (who thankfully seemed to find his food edible) knocked over his soda. I got him a replacement from the kitchen guy (the only one being helpful at this point) said he'd bring a mop. This never happened. They didn't even bring a wet floor sign, just left the giant puddle there, where it remained until I finally was so concerned for the safety of other diners that I cleaned it up myself. (At this point, we had been here for an hour and a half. Never a drink refill for fiance or I, and the only person who checked on us was the kitchen guy, when he brought my friend a new drink to replace his spilled one.) Eventually my fiance had just had enough and asked the server for the check. We were still charged for the uneaten, rancid chicken. I didn't even bother fighting him on it, because the server was the one ringing us out and clearly didn't have the authority to do anything about it. I don't even think there was a manager there.
Overall, I have to say that I will never, ever be eating here again. I'd rather drive the 15 miles to the next store, that we've had better experiences with. Save yourself the food poisoning and go...
Read moreThis place doesn't even deserve a 1 star! First off I very seldom eat burgers but for some strange reason I decided to stop at the ridiculous place last night and called ahead for my meal. When I arrived at the restaurant on time... I was told I would have to come inside to pick up my order. I did and walked back to my vehicle only to realize that my food was Ice Cold. I simply went back in and asked if I could have my 9.00 meal replaced and was immediately scolded by some individual that refused to give me his name and started insulting me. Took my meal back to the kitchen when one of the burger cooks in the back started shouting loudly that he wasn't going to remake my food. Looked at me and called me a "White N-word"! I mean really? I asked for his name and he said it was Elijah. I told him I couldn't believe he said that to me and the tensions continued to escalate. He threatened to come over the counter and continue the conversation. I asked who owned the restaurant and they refused to tell me. I did ask for a receipt and they tore part of it in half and gave it to me. I left not wanting to continue with the conversation. As I was pulling my vehicle around past the drive through they continued to shout at me at which I returned the comments and said ok Elijah I'll be in touch. At that point the man named Elijah jumped over the counter and started running out of the store to continue the confrontation. At this point I just simply left. This was absolutely the worst scenario I've EVER encountered for the most part anywhere. I can't in good faith recommend to anyone to ever eat at this location safely. I'm still looking to find who actually owns the store and have had no success. I've called the corporate number and keep getting a recording saying no one is available. PLEASE EAT AT THIS LOCATION AT...
Read moreI went through the drive through on 06/02/2022 @ 3:03pm (Entry 641 Check: 40115) 92 degrees outside and had a shocking experience. First, the African-American man who took my charge card handed me my food and I pulled forward a couple of feet. I forgot to get my card from him and walked back to get my card. I pulled to the front of the place and realize that he forgot to give me my drink, so I walked inside and politely asked him for my drink. He handed me the drink saying nothing with a scornful look on his face. I said, "Thank you," and walked out of the store. I opened my bag in my car and found the french fries to be cold. No problem. I opened my expected hamburger and realized it was a Melt Frisco. I returned into the restaurant and met eyes with the man, who ignored me. I asked the other server to get the man. He came to the counter again very irritated, saying nothing, so I asked, "Can I please have the food that I ordered?" The man became angry, raising his voice, and while looking at the two people in the restaurant, said, "If you are going to be rude, I will refund your money. You won't get your food." I then asked, "Please, I need to get home. You're batting 0 for 3." He started yelling, "I will give you your receipt if you are going to be rude." I smiled and said, "OK." I waited about 3 minutes and left knowing that man was going to make me wait as long as he could. I would like for the owner of this Steak n Shake in Northpoint Park area of Alpharetta GA to call me regarding this incident. Now, looking at the receipt, I realize that the receipt he put in the bag he gave to me belongs to the person in the car...
