To make this easier I am just going to paste an e-mail I recently sent to Linbrook management.
I have been a regular patron of your bowling alley for about five years. I have never had a problem before; the man who works the night shift is amazing as are your bartenders and cocktail servers. I was one of the people who pushed for our work after party to take place at Linbrook rather than at 300 which is in the same lot as our work place. We arrived at about 10:15 and were sitting in the parking lot waiting for some other people when one of your security guards walked up and told us we had to leave. She did not tell us why or give us any other information other than to tell us that we had to leave. I walked away rather confused as to why we had to leave and I since I had done absolutely nothing other than sit in the passenger seat of a car with my door open talking to someone standing outside the door that she must have been mistaken so I walked back into the bowling alley. I met up with some friends in the bar only to have the security guard follow me into the bar and tell me I had to leave. Not wanting to cause a scene I followed her outside and asked her why I had to leave. She told me it was because people in my car were drinking. I responded that I wasn't drinking nor did I see anyone else drink or even see an alcohol container. She responded that this wasn't her problem and walked away. A few minutes later I saw her talking to another man about what we had been talking about. I walked up to her and asked her to refrain from talking about me to others since this was an invasion of my privacy. She actually laughed in my face, literally, and said OK that was fine. I asked for her name so that I could file a complaint against her to which she responded that she didn't have to give me her name so I asked her for her badge number or any other information to which she responded the same. I then pulled out my phone and then said that I would take a picture of her so that she could be identified. She then tried to grab my phone, made actual contact with my phone and with my body, and said that it was a violation of her privacy for me to take a picture of her. At this point I want to stress that in no way did I make a move that was threatening or try to actually make contact with the security guard. She then walked back toward the doors, flipped me off, and called over her shoulder for me to "go home to my mommy." I do have witnesses to this actually happening. She then returned with a man who I assume was the manager on duty. He was very polite and respectful and explained that about a year ago someone was drinking in the parking lot and they lost their liquor license for twenty days so they had to have a strict policy on drinking on the premises. I explained to him that I was not drinking and that I could not even point out who was drinking but he explained that the rule had to apply to anyone in the car. While I do not agree with the decision made to expell me from your place of business, my main complaint is against the security guard and her treatment of me. My specific complaint is of her trying to grab my phone, flipping my off, and calling out disrespectful taunts to me. In my mind, the damage is done and I will never return to your bowling alley ever again. Whenever my coworkers and I think about going bowling we will always remember this incident and decide on another activity. I have also already visited Yelp and Google reviews to post a copy of this letter. I feel deeply disrespected and I hope that certain measures are taken so that others do not have similar situations with...
Read moreT was Sunday afternoon about 230pm when me and a group of my friends visited the bowling lane. Hoping to have a good time. The alley is fairly clean. They have a restaurant right as you enter where you can eat anything from breakfast to dinner. I have not eaten there so I can't rate the food. They have a pro shop located inside but it was closed on Sunday. I know they offer league bowling here because that the first thing I noticed upon entering. The prices are average. But best to check for pricing based in time and date. They also have a bar inside I believe they have kareoki nights if that's what you like. They also have a video game arcade if you don't want to bowl. Everything's in the alley seemed fine wcept for the most important thing. The lanes themselves. They are not well maintained and feel tacky. They have chips and dios in the lane. And they are not oiled at all. They feel drier than the drought here in California. 9 out if 10 balls you roll down the right side of the lane will end up in the left gutter before it reaches the pins. What is most disheartening about it all was as we were leaving and passing a league bowler she had out right stated yeah they don't oil the lanes for open bowling? WTH? That made me furious. Open bowlers pay just as good amount of money to bowl here as any other customers and deserve to be able to bowl in oiled lanes like anyone else. I am an avid bowler and I live close to this alley. Unfortunately I will not be coming here again. I don't recommend this establishment. I will change my review if changes are made to this alley until then if you want to bowl a descent game. You won't want to...
Read moreUsed to come here all the time as a child back then it was great and up to date. Now the lanes breakdown about every 10 minutes leaving you to reset it and, most of the time only had 9 pins. so I took multiple trips to the front desk. While I was waiting for the maintenance man to come fix it I decided to go to the diner and get some fries. After 10 minutes of being ignored she finally ended the conversation she was having with one of her friends and asked me what I wanted as if I was an inconvenience to her! I asked her about how long the fries take to make since I had only paid for an hour and needed to get back to my game quickly. She then proceeded to tell me that I was gonna take however long it takes and if i had still wanted them or not. I said “sure I’ll take a large fry and a large cherry coke” I went back to go bowl my turn and I would return on my fiancés next turn. I come back to then a cook yelling at another employee saying “how can you not read T-R-A-S-H ARE YOU STUPID” I grabbed my fries as fast as possible and went back to my lane that yet again stopped working again. I don’t know what the hell is going on with this place but it’s definitely not linbrook anymore. Actually I will say the front desk lady was amazing I didn’t catch her name but the diner can burn in hell for all...
