ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. I’m done being silent about my nightmare experience that occurred in July. My hair was severely chemically botched causing half of the thickness and a lot of length to break off. Not to mention my scalp has never been the same and my hair continues to fall out in clumps. My Dermotologist confirmed the condition I have is due to chemical damage to my scalp and there’s no saying when my hair will stop falling out. My scalp is so sensitive now, it burns the moment I walk in the sun, and it frequently itches. This really has caused severe emotional distress since I also cannot style my hair like I used to and my look is totally different since I still can’t use much heat styling on it. I’ve spent close to $1,000+ since on hair treatments, new hair growth products and hair clips since my hair is so thin and short. I even pay hairstylists for blowouts because I can’t bear how much hair comes out in the shower. Tricho offered me a hair halo and Olaplex conditioning system and made it clear they didn’t want to hear from me anymore due to the short and stern responses on the phone. Unfortunately the fishing line on hair halo digs into my sensitive scalp and Olaplex made my hair come out even more. They have expressed very little empathy and put the blame on a previous hairstylist for the damage to my hair and “this was the tipping point.” I’ve always been reasonable about not over bleaching my hair and listening if a stylist says I should wait to have it highlighted. This has been such a nightmare and hearing from two other stylists, they cannot believe the amount of damage that was done to my hair. If your stylist says they are leaving to get Starbucks and leaves you under the dryer with bleach while leaving the building, speak up! My scalp was frying while I was under that dryer due to the heat and bleach. I will never get the scene out of my head when the stylist blow dried my hair and showed me a handful of my hair that had fallen out. My hair looked like spaghetti noodles all over my cape and needed to be cut to shoulder length which was devastating since I’ve always had long hair. I’m scared my hair will never be the same. It used to be so long and thick. And now I have PTSD from ever having my hair bleached again. Enough said. I don’t wish this upon anyone, make sure your stylist understands how long bleach should be left on your hair and keeps a strict timer on hand. Never expected this to happen at a...

I’m writing this review as the wife of the client who received the haircut. I have a background in cosmetology, and I can honestly say this was the worst haircut I’ve ever seen my husband get.
My husband showed stylist Emma multiple reference photos, and I even wrote out a detailed description (stylist to stylist) that said “disconnection around the parietal ridge of the head.” He mentioned that the disconnect could be done as a line if she preferred, which would have been fine if it had been near his part line, or even if she had faded the bottom up into the line, then faded that up to the parietal ridge and disconnected it from the top properly. Instead, she cut a deep, bald line starting at the parietal ridge going down into the crown area, nowhere near his part line. The lines on the sides of his head are not even, not symmetrical, and completely disconnected from the rest of the haircut. The blending is patchy, uneven, and clearly rushed, as if she just wanted to get it over with and push him out the door. The entire haircut doesn’t make sense and shows a lack of basic hairstylist fundamentals — this is far below even the most basic professional standard.
When I arrived after my own appointment next door and asked for the sides to be shortened to salvage the cut, she barely acknowledged me and cut haphazardly. At that point, both of us realized the haircut couldn’t be saved. On top of that, he left the salon with hair all over inside his shirt. For a $50 haircut, the very least one should expect is a proper finish that includes rinsing or cleaning off the excess hair.
With my cosmetology background — which I can no longer practice due to being disabled in my hands — I will unfortunately have to fix this myself. Thankfully, my husband has someone like me who can, but most clients wouldn’t. They would either have to pay someone else to fix it or live with this poorly executed haircut.
This was an incredibly disappointing experience. If Tricho is going to charge $50 for a men’s haircut, they need to ensure their stylists are thoroughly trained in the basics. Based on this visit, the outcome was far below even the most basic...
Read morePreviously, I had been trying to speak with Taylor, the general manager, for several days to address a misinformation issue among the staff. Tricho is not upfront about their pricing and I was quoted $180-230 for a balyage by not one, but three of the staff members at this salon. I had never had my hair colored before and was inquiring about general information such as prices and stylists. No one informed me that the person I scheduled my appointment with was above this given estimate as she holds seniority, but I’m not sure how I was supposed to know that as someone who made clear that she had only ever received haircuts at Tricho and without pricing signage or appointment confirmation. As a long-time customer at Tricho, I am disappointed and appalled at the lack of customer service and follow-through. I was originally intending to speak with the general manager about being charged for this miscommunication error on the staff's end, but now my complaint extends to the management at Tricho. I tried to get ahold of Taylor for five days, and each time was told that she would be notified and give me a call back the next day. Well, obviously the messages were either not being conveyed, or the manager was simply ignoring my attempts to speak with her as she never contacted me. You can imagine my frustration at not being able to talk with the person in charge on top of the original matter that I was calling to correct. This was beyond unprofessional as I had been going on day 5 of no response after being reassured that I would be contacted 5 different times. Eventually, on my fifth day of trying to speak with someone, I was contacted by the desk manager. I am still shocked by the level of unprofessionalism in this phone call. After I explained my situation and that I was surprised at the bill being $120 more than quoted, her snarky response was “I’m sorry you’ve never gotten your hair colored before.” Never did I get to speak with the general manager who ignored my calls for almost a week, nor was I compensated for the overcharge. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere and recommending all of my friends and family members...
