Windsor — Local services in Ann Arbor

Similar to the last reviewer I also had poor customer service today between 4 and 5pm. The lady assisting me had a very nasty attitude that was completely uncalled for.

First, I went up to politely ask her if she could pull a dress down for me that was hanging up high and she jumped very dramatically as if I had spooked her and asked with an attitude what did I need help with. After repeating myself she tells me to stay put then storms off to do something else. I didn't notice when she came back initially because it was very busy and I was expecting her to return to the spot I was standing at. I then looked up to see/hear her bent over and screaming at me from a distance asking me "Which one??!!" like some kind of crazy person. I rightfully got upset by the public display that she was making in the store and clarified which dress I wanted. She then acted like she was apologizing but then immediately got very anxious and upset repeatedly asking me which size dress, barely allowing me to respond before shoving a size one into my hands.

Now, at this point, I'm like clearly this girl has issues and I was going to just let it slide. But then she had the nerve to start gossiping about me to one of the girls at the cashier right in front of me. Saying things like "When you work long hours then yeah you're going to have an attitude... so like no I don't care ..." and the main perpetrator whole time keeps sneaking smug looks at me.

So I usually get really good customer service here but today was not the case. The workers were very rude and dismissive toward me. I was very polite in asking for help but Instead of answering my questions the workers ignored me and instead decided to gossip together by the register. I again asked politely where items were. They gave me little to no information. I found myself on a wild goose chase, aimlessly searching all around the store for specific items, not having any idea where they were. This next scenario, I was trying a top on and ended up needing a bigger size in the fitting room, I didn’t want to walk out in the clothes I was trying on so I politely asked the worker if she could find my top in a size up. She was very rude and snarky, and pretty much told me to go and find the item myself. I personally love the clothes at Windsor and their selection but after this most recent experience, I don’t know if I want to go back there anymore. I don’t like the vibe in there. Ashely, one of the managers, is absolutely wonderful. I was having a hard time finding a dress, and right when I was about to give up she showed me a really pretty dress, that as it turns out I had already taken a screen shot of, and just didn't see it to try it on.

When I got home I thought about my purchase and wished that I had gotten the other color (I bought it in pink, but really wanted it in grey but they didn't have it at that location). I called a different location and they told me I would be unable to exchange it because "special occasion" dresses are final sale. I called Ashley at the Briarwood location just to double check that they didn't have it in grey, I told her they had it at another location but that I called them and they told me I wouldn't be able to exchange it. That's all it took and Ashley said "let me call them and talk to them" so she did, and then she called me back and told me that the other location would hold the dress for me and that I could go exchange it.
