My husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding reception on the Lady Sarah in April 2018. We struggled with finding the right size and style wedding venue to accommodate our 40 guest, simple wedding. We couldn’t have been happier to discover Watermark. Taylor and the rest of the Watermark staff we worked with were great for helping us create the memorable experience we wanted for our celebration. They had a thorough list of vendors to work with which made the planning process easy. We choose to create our own music playlist for the event rather than having a DJ and created our own decorations, but it was nice having options. Taylor assisted with a timeline for the event which worked out perfect. She was also great as a day of coordinator assisting with arranging décor and making sure not only we were taken care of but our guests as well. We initially were scheduled for a 3 hour cruise to the Thomas Point lighthouse, but we made a last minute decision to cruise up the Severn River due to wind conditions. The crew was wonderful in accommodating this change. It worked out beautifully because we got an amazing sunset over downtown Annapolis on our return which made for amazing pictures. Our guests absolutely loved the scenic views on the Severn River. While it is rare to have a wedding without any hiccups. Ours were so minor that it only bears mentioning that Taylor and the Watermark crew were instrumental in keeping us calm and improvising with resolutions.
The Lady Sarah was perfect for a buffet style eating arrangement which worked out great for us. The boat dresses up very nice with linens and décor. We had the ability to make it as casual or fancy as we chose. With its two decks our guests could comfortably eat downstairs in the enclosed level and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine from the top deck. We just loved some of the unique options being on the boat offered (like cruising into City Dock already aboard the boat to meet our guests and having a personalized boat flag to name just a few).
We have since taken other cruises with Watermark and have truly enjoyed each of them. If you are looking for a unique wedding or celebration venue that your friends and family won’t forget, I highly encourage considering a...

I was born & raised in Maryland and have been to Annapolis many times; however I've never taken a cruise around the Severn river until today. I booked a 40 minute cruise with my funny little hunny, who is from California and I thought she might enjoy a little excursion while learning about what was at one point the nation's capital.
Parking by the water was a bit of a challenge as it was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning and I was driving myself nuts trying to navigate all of the one-way streets in the nearby neighborhood, so I just opted to pay the $30 for public parking. The walk to the harbor was no big deal, we made it to the check-in spot, got our tickets, got in line, then in single file, they granted us access onto the boat. We made our way up to the top deck, found a bench next to the captain's wheelhouse, and I chatted it up with the friendly captain with some small talk before we set sail. Then after a couple toots of his horn, we were off. For the next 35 or so minutes, we were treated to a nice education about the Naval academy, surrounding buildings, the Chesapeake Bay bridge and other interesting bits and pieces about Annapolis. It was a pleasant leisurely ride, and with the exception of people who came speeding by and causing waves, not too choppy (for those who might get a little woozy on a boat). There's also a little bar for refreshments, as well as a restroom if you don't think you can wait until you get back to the public restrooms at the harbor.
This was a really fun activity if you are entertaining guests from out of town, on a date (because there are lots of things to do in walking distance after the boat ride), or if you just want something interesting to do while learning a little trivia about the Old Line State. Next up for us will be taking the all day cruise down to St. Michael's. I highly recommend this...
Read moreOn May 28th I took the Annapolis Sunset Cruise with live music from 7:30pm to 9pm. Making the reservation online was fast & efficient. Check-in at the dock was quick & I boarded the boat at 7:15. The cruise started on time going past the Naval Academy & up the Severn River before turning around & heading back in the general direction of the dock. The captain of the boat was very cordial, answering several questions I had once we got underway. Before returning to the dock, She directed the boat out into the bay a bit then headed back to the marina. Other members of the crew were also very personable & attentive. The live band was very good & provided excellent music for the duration of the cruise. This wasn't the first time I'd been on this cruise, although it'd been quite a while since the previous time. It was a fine way to spend an evening under the stars! I'd definitely do this again. My tour guide was very knowledgeable about many aspects of Annapolis history. She took the group through many streets of the historic district explaining in detail the importance of various buildings & their ownership. The final stop was the state house with was filled with historical displays & information all illuminated by our guide. The guide was open to many questions & on the rare occasion when she didn't know the answer she was quick to admit that. It was clear she'd spent considerable time studying Annapolis history & consulting with...
