A little gem in Appleton. If you're into art you may wish to swing by for a bit of relaxation and contemplation. 🌈 We stop in regularly since were locals.
They always have a unique selection of art on display.... something for everyone.✨
Plenty of parking in any of the ramps in the zone or on the street. Front entrance lobby offers a beautiful gift shop and a friendly staff. Usually there is an entrance fee. You can take care of that at the door. Bathrooms are in the back. This place offers two levels of viewing rooms and a small side room, that leads out to the back... usually with a featured artist.
Normally we spent about two hours here. I think it's a great place to go for an afternoon. Bring the kids and get them interested in art at an early age. Art is phenomenal and extremely therapeutic. Everyone loves to draw and color as a child and it's extremely therapeutic to continue this as an adult even if you're not a Monet.
We highly recommend the...
Read moreWent to go see the B(ART) (Simpson) exhibit with my daughter since we are both huge fans. The museum was full of activities to do while you are looking around at various pictures of the series throughout its entirety. You could animate your own cartoon with stop motion videography. You could trace over your favorite Simpsons characters too. There was a huge chalkboard where anyone cld take a piece of chalk and write on the wall, like Bart does in the beginning of each episode. It was fun to see what other people wrote. The gift shop had some great Simpson related items, but very pricey for my liking. ($45 for a hat/$55 (?) for a tiny backpack/fanny pack. Prolly stayed for an hour at the exhibit. Admission is $10.00 per guest. Memberships are available. Days closed are on Sundays and Mondays. Make sure to go to website to view when the museum is open bc sometimes they take a hiatus here and there...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. If you don't like their main exhibit, it is pointless to go. When the elevator opened for the upper floor we were slammed with a strong musty mold smell. The art work here flet like middle student could have done it. The best part was the top floor which was two TINY hallways with high school artists. Very talented students work there, but maybe only 20 or so pieces to see. Oh the front desk worker was VERY NICE =) and personable. Also they do have a cute little gift shop with a nice variety of items, priced well. But other than that I was so disappointed. I was looking at the images online and it looked like such a great place to visit. I was shocked they charged $10 a person to walk through!! This is my 1st bad review online ever so this was hard for me to do. But I don't want people to drive 3 hours like we did to check this place out to get as...
