We have been to this children's museum many times over the years since we are members of Discovery World in Milwaukee that includes free entrance for me and my family. We realized while traveling this weekend for the Calumet County fair which is close to Appleton that we have not been there is a few years so we decided to give it a go! We were pleasantly surprised to see some new options for playing and they completely ripped out the gift ship to make room for a Schneider Truck and fuel station as well as a mechanic and dock sorting area which is amazing for a truly hands on experience and quite engaging for their imaginations. They also have updated their water room to include a couple new water stations so all in all this was a great new experience for an old great!

I brought my grandchildren here for the first time in three years we went straight to the studio to do artwork. There was one lady named Kiara and she refused to help us. We tried to get paint. She told us to put water in the in the cups and stir the dried up paint from the bottom and that worked for one color and when I asked for her to get us another color, it took me two times to ask her to do that before she poured some water in a cup and handed it to me then, when I asked her for help on the loom with my other grandchildren, she just stared at me refused to help after that we couldn’t find her. She had walked out so we just left to the next area then I saw A manager walking through and flagged him down. I told him about our experience and he was very snotty and dismissive of my concerns and when I told him that I was a paying customer and thought the service was terrible he said well I have faith in my employees and there’s nothing I can do about it. There was another lady that had walked up to me while I was talking to him because she saw how Flippin he was being and also told him he was being very short and rude and he said well that’s just really too bad then I asked him for his name which he said it was Austin and his supervisor was Kathy Dean. I plan on calling on Monday to file a formal complaint. this is ridiculous that you can’t get someone that is willing to help you and when you have concerns and I was very respectful with my concerns they just dismiss you with no resolution and essentially made me feel unvalued as a customer and really that’s just too bad that this is the type of treatment we can expect. I have been here three years ago with my grandchildren and the experience was completely different so whatever they did in terms of management and employees is 180 turnaround such a shame used to be such a...

I feel as though I fork out a lot of money when we (3 of us) go to this children’s museum. I often find that many of the displays and buttons don’t work! For that price, I would hope it would be enjoyable and everything working properly. I travel to the Green Bay museum over this one anytime I feel like splurging on a day with my girls. I always leave feeling a little disappointed. It always seems to be busy, as I walk in I hope there are no field trips there that day. But, there usually is, and those bigger kids trample over mine each and every time especially in the tree house area. The role play areas are never put back together and always in disarray—if my kids want to enjoy them and actually get to use them the way they are intended, we probably would have to be there RIGHT at opening. (Green Bay does ALOT better at making rounds and putting things back into place so everyone can enjoy) I always leave feeling a bit disappointed and as if I have just thrown out $25. We just went there yesterday— I couldn’t figure out where to find supplies for the girls to do an art project, granted I could have looked around and figured it out, but that’s difficult when I have a 2 yo and 4 yo excited about their surroundings. There were no workers there to help.

I won’t spend the $$ for a membership. It’s not exciting enough to go all that often. It would be better if it was in working order, clean, and picked up.

(I thought going this time would be different since they were closed for renovations for so long last year—I didn’t really notice...
