Rebecca in custom portrait section is absolutely amazing!! We went in with a portrait of Janis Joplin hand drawn and it had very odd measurements. She measured the photo and explained our options. She showed us our options for the background and frames. I explained where the photo would be and aesthetics I was looking for. She picked out a background color and created the digital example for us to see. I couldn't decide on the color and she said "lets look up Janis Joplin's favorite color" and it turned out to be purple which is my favorite color! She explained the glass vs acrylic casings and the process of picking the photo up. She even explained to me encasing the photo and why I needed to remove the plastic on the photo. She even helped us to read the signature of the artist. I was skeptical of leaving the photo but she assured me it would protected and ok!!! She was so amazing!! Thank you so much for your expertise and grand customer service! Can't wait to...
Read moreVery beautiful store .. crafter's heaven! Thought I was going to really enjoy this place once I discovered it, being that I'm a crafter..I was happy about the possibility of bypassing Amazon. One visit has made me a faithful Amazon patron. The products are extremely overpriced. This place is best for crafts that you're doing for leisure...not to sell. Hard to make a profit when the supplies are so pricey. I was told they have good sales online, plus joining the Michael's Club saved me a few dollars on the total.
UPDATE: That day I visited the store, I gave my email address to be notified about future deals. And yes, they do have really good sales you guys!!!!! So, crafters on a more humble budget like myself, no worries!!!! Join the club to get great discounts. The haul pictured below was valued at $300....I paid $127 for quality beads, charms, and semi precious stones. Sale day at Michael's...
Read moreI was told on the 14th that my custom framing was done. I tried to pick it up on the 15th and it wasn't ready. Came back today, on the 16th, they were "ready" but they bent and creased one corner of the artwork I gave them. It immediately called attention to itself. It was in perfect condition when delivered to them, still in the original protective packaging. They ruined an expensive Alinari Brothers print which was a souvenir of a trip to Pompeii. I was so saddened. Here's what should have happened: A phone call telling me, "Hey, we damaged an irreplaceable piece of your property. Do you still want us to frame it as is?" And if I chose a full refund, they should have also said, "And because we're so sorry, we'd also like to pay you for the €60 print that you entrusted us with." But they offered a $43 discount (?!) on the framing they should not have proceeded with. Seriously? I'm saddened...
