I was a repeat customer buying two or three bagsa month. A few days ago when I stopped by to get a couple bags. I noticed the lobby looked different. The clerks told the store was under new ownership. I thought I would get my usual two bags of carmel. When I got home and tried it I knew instantly there was something different about it. First the consistency wasn't the same. Secondly the carmel looked and tasted as if it was just poured on like it was a hit and miss. I ate about 5 - 6 pieces it just wasn't good at all. The new owners should have left well enough alone. This is an update. I talked to the new owner & he informed me that he receipe has not changed. He went on to tell me that someone made a mistake when they cooked a batch of the popcorn. The "bad" popcorn must have been released before it was discovered. Therefore I am still a customer and will continue to be for hopefully a number of years. I am adding a couple of stars but I very seldom do I give all five because there is always room for...
Read moreWent first thing when they opened, I got 3 medium bags that came out to around $40 bucks. I got white and sweet popcorn. Both weren't fresh, white popcorn didn't taste like much, I get better taste off the bags that are cheaper at the store. The candy one was sweet but not fresh absolutely not worth the price. I was attended by 2 young girls, one would try to have a nice personality and the other one looked at me as I interrupted her day and she was doing me a favor. I was not impressed with the containers they keep the popcorn in, they look old and yellowish as if they've been there 30 years. All in all, I was not impressed. My visit was a week ago and when I think about how I spent $40 bucks on 3 bags of popcorn that were worth maybe 5 bucks, it just kills me. If they were fresh and the location had great people working there then I wouldn't have a problem spending my money there. Won't be going back nor...
Read moreI have gone here twice now, both times they’ve been closed. We wanted to get popcorn from here and take it in to Studio Movie Grill, but no such luck. I understand the need to run a business model that makes sense in the way of both profits and overhead, but I don’t understand how they identify their optimal operating hours. It seems a majority of the hours they operate, coincide with hours that many people also happen to be working. They are closed at 6pm, daily and not open at all on Sundays. Retail environments should have hours beyond that, in my opinion, but I’m just one person.
I had to drive to South Arlington, but even that store closes at 7:30pm. At least I can go there after...
