Collins Nails Salon & Spa — Local services in Arlington

The only reason I give this salon a three because the customer service from who I assume is the manager who stands at the front and greets Cx. I came in the salon as my birthday is next Thursday, and I was looking for a birthday set, even as I was explaining to her about me not know what I’m wanting and I was gonna envision it as I Go and needed a second opinion on how I should get the certain look I was looking for I think I upset the nail tech who was doing my nails My asking her questions and not really know what I wanted but to top it off The lady who did my nails who must also be in charge behind him had the worst attitude towards my 18 month old son and I feel as if he felt her energy as well and I didn’t pickup on it until after I left the shop and my baby was happy and playing as usual again! I get it Saturday probably wasn’t the best day to come in with a toddler but my plan to pamper myself after losing my mother last year I haven’t really been taking care of my womanly wants and this was my first time in over 8 plus months getting my nails done again and really doing something for myself I was super happy until the cx service I received today! My baby was fine until he wanted a snack even then when I was alternating hands and communicating with her all while I still am trying to allow the lady to do her job she kept huffing and puffing that I had to tend to my toddler and as bad as I really just v wanted to up and leave because I don’t play behind my child I didn’t but I should’ve, when I seen my baby was really disturbed and his energy was totally off, usually when h r has his tv, snacks and drinks he is fine and he is far from a crybaby when he has what he wants but he just wasn’t having it and wanted my attention and I see now I should’ve took the opportunity to leave when she stopped and asked me do I need to call somebody to come watch him and o said no I can’t I don’t have anybody to watch him that’s why he is with me now and he started doing a little whine but really he was just playing with his tablet and she hopped out her chair like she needed a break and I still was cool!! I asked about the hold for a pedicure and the first thing that came out her mouth was they won’t take you with baby acting like that and advised me if I wanted to be taking care of I would have to leave baby at home asked acting like what he’s a baby ?? I told her nvm just give me my refund for my toes and I will take my business somewhere else! I will never cheat on L.A nails out of pleasant grove again ‼️ i’m a young mother that just wanted to pamper herself and needed to bring her child because he is my child and it’s my responsibility to watch him and take care of him. It saddens me My home salon is now 35 mins from me now that I stay in Arlington I did not have time to go out there and come back and be at work on time but I know one thing this is not a family oriented business they just want your money and could care less about you not having help with children! As I mentioned before the man at the door who I assume is the manager is the only reason that I am giving this place three stars and also looking at my nails they are different lengths and I did not catch that before. I walked out the salon thank you but no thank you for your service. it was only a learning lesson on what not to do next time and where not to come! Went in at 6pm and came out at 7:50pm with no nails done, although requested.

1st wait was waiting for a chair : 30 minutes 2nd wait was waiting for a tech : 15 minutes 3rd wait was my nail tech leaving me to finish someone elses nails and told me to sit and let the acrylic dry LOL : 20 minutes 4th wait was the owner man handling my nails when I asked them to remove these funky lumpy unfiled, unshaped acrylic splats. 30 minutes.

When I asked to have them removed, all 3 techs stood over me and did a stare down and told me the job was done. It was not LOL . You expected $115 plus a tip for this terrible customer service. I do not think so. Then ANNA THREW her file at the desk and left and said some very disrespectful things. It is 2024, there are devices that translate in REAL TIME lady. I will never be back here.

To the guy who runs the desk, I bet you would not do that to a man huh. LOL . Beware of this place.

Please pull your footage, you clearly see 3 nail techs trying to intimidate me when I asked to have them removed 6 times. Especially when you grabbed my hands and started clipping and grinding away, hurting me and yanking me. I was in no way the slightest disrespectful. You actually got a good one yesterday compared to all the other bad service you have given.

By the way the part where you say " made it difficult to address the situation " was a your fault thing. Leaving me while doing another clients nails is something that could have been avoided, instead Anna decided to just leave me there with no explanation. I am visiting from California (Bay Area but also live in LA half the year) and I found Collins Nails from the reviews. The service was amazing! Cindy did an amazing job on my dip powder acrylic gel extensions manicure. I showed her my inspo photo - it was a fuchsia to red orange ombré and Cindy perfected it! I wanted this color for Lunar New Year and Valentines Day.

Cindy has a great attention to detail and I was very impressed with how she took care to make sure it was perfect for me. She asked me multiple times if it was good for me during the process and I corrected a few things I wanted her to adjust. Communication is key and I'm so happy I found this place. She was really great to talk to as well everyone in the shop was so kind and friendly and they gave me a lot of food recs and activities since it's around Lunar New Year and I want to eat some good Vietnamese food in the area (since I'm visiting).

I also am very happy with my gel pedicure! I got the Pasadise package with Peppermint. It was so relaxing and my nail tech was so friendly and took her time and made sure I was comfortable. The environment was clean.

I am so glad they were able to take me as a walk in (I did call in advance).

I will definitely go back here when I'm in town!
