Honestly if I could give them 100 stars, I would. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and happened to stumble across them on Thursday night and just did a tasting. We loved all the offerings and had the sweetest server. We jokingly told her we would come back, but we actually decided to keep that promise and return. Tonight we stopped by for a quick snack, a glass of wine and a bottle to take home. Both servers working tonight were incredibly friendly and personable. After leaving, I had an accident and tripped in the street shattering my bottle of wine and cut my hand pretty bad. The male server (wish I could remember his name) chased me down the sidewalk with a brand new bottle of wine (which made me cry because it was so kind) and brought me back inside to clean up with their first aid kit. Even the other customers were so incredible and made sure I was okay. There was one customer specifically (I believe her name was Tess and I hope she sees this) who immediately jumped up as soon as I came back inside and cleaned up my cuts and bandaged them. I have never witnessed someone step in so quickly and act so thoughtfully. It truly made everything so much less stressful. We really hope to return in the future and especially visit the vineyard!! Please visit if you get...

We came here very excited to sample some local wines. Very disappointed from our experience here. We asked to taste the wines we were interested in first before purchasing and our server told us adamantly no. I explained I sold wine for 12 years and have a discerning palate but he wouldn’t budge. We got a sparkling Vidal and a Gruner veltliner. The sparkling was ok, drinkable but extremely light. The Gruner tasted nothing like the varietal should taste. Full of chemicals! We asked to switch this wine for a different wine we might enjoy more but again were told that wasn’t possible. It was left on the table unfinished and we were still charged for it. Very disappointing experience. We told him this wasn’t good for business to leave customers so unhappy but we were told he was new and nothing could be done. Left with a very bad taste in our mouth literally and figuratively. I would skip this winery all together. Customer service is...

Asheville is amazing! Shops closed down at 6 ish and I wasn’t ready to go back to my hotel just to swing back out for dinner. I stumbled upon the Marked Tree and was quickly smitten. The atmosphere is intimate, elevated, but not stuffy. I popped up to the bar, sat down and was immediately greeted by Niel! I was on “funemployment” and my partner was busy with work so, I made the most of it and drove to Asheville by myself. Niel had me comfortable and laughing and enjoying conversation in no time. Great knowledge of wine, hiking, Real Housewives of Atlanta, the works. Highly recommend a visit to this charming spot in Asheville 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼! I liked the wine that was Riesling-like. There was a V in the title. He will know what I’m talking about. It isn’t super sweet. But it sure went down easy. And the truffles to...

I have visited the Flat Rock location recently and loved it, so when I had time to waste before a late dinner reservation, it was a no brainer to stop at Marked Tree in Asheville. We were not disappointed. GREAT service, an adorable and well decorated space, and good wine and charcuterie. The server suggested a wine based on our preferences and offered the red room temp or sightly chilled. The staff were wearing masks properly and there were several small tables outside. We were there from 7-830 on a Friday evening and it was never crowded. I will definitely be back. I didn't get a picture of the charcuterie but it was amazing: 4 cheeses including their pimento cheese, grapes, two meats, plenty of crackers (3 types), a jam, nuts, and a few olives/pickles. I liked everything on the board.

We love Marked Tree Wines. We have been to the vineyard in Flat Rock many times and now we make it a point to stop at The Tasting Room in Asheville whenever we are in the area. The urban setting in the south slope location is near to great breweries and restaurants. It's a three minute walk from The French Broad Chocolate Lounge so if you are looking for great dark chocolate to pair with your red wine you don't have to go far. The Ghost House Red is one of our favorite red blends; it pairs well with cheese and chocolate. Yum! 🍷We can't wait for warmer weather when sitting outside will provide a front row seat to enjoy all the activities going on in this vibrant location in the city. Cheers🥂 we're so glad you're here!
