Monopoly was a fun & very different escape room experience than any other. Something for the whole family to do 😊. Set design and props were unique and specific to Monopoly🎩. Our GM Kay and every employee was super kind & friendly😃. This was a collaboration with Breakout & Hasbro so it was certainly unique and one-of-a-kind. Story was true to what would be apropos for someone playing the Monopoly board game 🎲 💰. We found some of the puzzles to be more challenging than they appeared and others simpler than they appeared 🧩, which made for an overall very tricky 🧐 puzzle experience. Glad we had plenty of hands 🙌🏽 on board for this one (3 adults and 2 kids🧑‍🧑‍🧒🧑‍🧒) because this game really benefited from having that many players. I don’t think I’d have been able to do it with any less than 3 adults, frankly. ♿️ This room was located upstairs in this location’s building so I’m not sure if this floor was wheelchair accessible (I’m presuming there was an elevator somewhere). Other than that, the room itself seemed very accessible with the exception of one important rather physical component of the game that requires someone to be using their legs (presumably, the GM could probably trigger this component though if someone was unable to use their legs). One other puzzle was a bit of a challenge for me because I have a bit of colorblindness 👁️ , but we still managed to figure it out eventually.

Sorry that the pictures are limited, but they don't want you to take pictures of the escape room, and I respect that. Don't want to ruin the experience for others. Now, with that being said (having said that 😁), this was a fantastic place. We did the hostage room and I can honestly say that I've never started out in an escape room handcuffed and blindfolded. The crew is really attentive watching the room and offering very "light" hints. They basically don't give away what you should do but gently lead you there, making you feel like you still figured it out. If you like escape rooms, then check it out. Oh and they have the most escape rooms of any place I've visited.

We were in town last night and decided to try our first escape room. Will was our game master. From the moment we walked through the door, he was incredibly welcoming. He chatted with us as we walked to our room and did a great job of setting the mood for our museum heist. During the game when we asked for clues, he was great at giving us just the right amount of information to help us while making it feel as if we figured it out ourselves. It was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait for another game. Breakout also has private rooms which is great for smaller groups. We chose their most difficult room and still broke out just in the nick of time with a group of three.

Escape Room Review: Mystery Mansion at Breakout Asheville

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Mystery Mansion escape room at Breakout Asheville, guided by the exceptional Will. From the moment we stepped into the venue, it was clear that this was going to be an extraordinary adventure.

Atmospheric Setting: Mystery Mansion is a masterclass in immersive design. The attention to detail in the decor, lighting, and sound effects transported us into a world of mystery and intrigue. Every room within the mansion was meticulously crafted, making us feel like we were part of a thrilling story straight out of a novel.

Engaging Puzzles: The puzzles in Mystery Mansion were both challenging and innovative. Each clue was cleverly integrated into the storyline, providing a seamless experience that kept us on our toes. Will’s expertise shone through as he offered hints that were just the right balance of helpful and cryptic, allowing us to maintain the thrill of discovery without feeling frustrated.

Outstanding Guide: Will was an exceptional guide. His enthusiasm and passion for escape rooms were evident from the start. He welcomed us with a warm smile and immediately set the tone for an exciting adventure. Throughout the experience, Will was attentive, ensuring that we were engaged and having fun. His ability to gauge when to offer subtle hints and when to let us figure things out on our own added to the enjoyment and sense of accomplishment.

Flawless Execution: Breakout Asheville and Will have perfected the art of the escape room experience. The flow of the game was smooth, with each puzzle leading logically to the next. The narrative was compelling, and the pacing was just right, keeping us captivated from beginning to end.

Memorable Experience: Mystery Mansion at Breakout Asheville, with Will as our guide, provided one of the best escape room experiences we’ve ever had. It was thrilling, challenging, and incredibly fun. The combination of a well-crafted environment, engaging puzzles, and an outstanding guide made it a perfect outing for our group.

Final Verdict: If you’re in Asheville and looking for an unforgettable escape room experience, Mystery Mansion at Breakout Asheville is a must-visit. With Will as your guide, you’re guaranteed a fantastic adventure filled with excitement and mystery. We can’t wait to return and try out more...

I had never done an escape room and I was a major skeptic. My kids wanted to do one while on vacation and I pushed back thinking the cost would not outweigh the benefit; I had little interest in it whatsoever. Enter, Breakout in Asheville who showed me one of the most entertaining hours of my life, no hyperbole. An employee, Jaush (im sorry im spelling your name wrong) was absolutely amazing at guiding us through our journey and my kids had a lot of fun. For me, I never really knew what to expect with an escape room and when I entered it, I got really excited. It is clear that Breakout spends their money on quality gameplay and rooms because it felt like no expense was spared in the story. I cannot express how much fun I had and halfway through it I was so engrossed in the mission that the first 30 minutes felt like 5 minutes. After we completed our mission in the nick of time, I was left feeling exhilarated and I wanted to go right back in and solve another puzzle. I'm not joking, it's all I thought about the rest of the day to the detriment of the rest of my family. I just kept going over each part of the puzzle and couldn't shut up about it. For three straight nights it was the last thing I thought about before going to bed. I found out that I'm an escape room junky and I need another fix. Thanks again to Breakout Asheville, I will be sure to do MANY more in the...
