This place is fantastic! It has such lovingly curated and joyous folk art eye-candy. Since moving to the area in 2002, I've made an effort whenever downtown to at least look through the windows. In my mind the gallery and artwork therein are inextricably linked with Asheville. I love walking around the open, clean, and orderly displays and have always been treated kindly when perusing, even though it did take years before I bought my first small piece of art and a few more before I bought another. Read moreMy friend and I were visiting Asheville on an art-buying trip and wandered into this gallery after stopping at Haun and Blue Spiral galleries. At both the other galleries, we were greeted by friendly staff who allowed us to leisurely browse, touch, and enjoy. In this gallery, we were semi-greeted by a dower-faced woman who rudely told us not to touch and then stormed away. As we were leaving, there was no thank you or good-bye.
