Updated Review After getting in touch with the owner about the previous issue, I could not be more satisfied with how accommodating and helpful he has been. Within a few days of starting a dialogue, my ticket was refunded.
This used to be one of my favorite venues in town. However, after my latest interaction- or should I say, lack thereof- with them, I will not be going back there.
On April 16th, I purchased a ticket for the Boombox show that was happening on the 18th. On the 17th, I just so happened to see a post on their Facebook page from April 7th saying the show was postponed. I have no idea why they postponed a show but continued to sell tickets for it for 9 days.
I commented on the post announcing the postponement and asked for a refund. No response. I've emailed them several times. No response. I've messaged their Facebook page. No response.
I have had bad experiences with businesses before, but I've never been flat out ignored by one. They dropped the ball when they let me buy a ticket to a show that was already postponed. Then they ignored any attempt I made to get a refund.
I have seen countless shows at this venue, dating back to the days when it was Stella Blue, but I won't be returning. All they had to do was refund a ticket because they dropped the ball in the first place. And this whole incident has gotten so under my skin that I've decided to keep a running tab of how much of my business they'll be losing as a result of such poor practices. I'll update this review as needed.
5/9/25 Nth Power Ticket $26 Drinks $25
Total $51
Needless to say, I don't recommend this place. Third Room. The Orange Peel. Grey Eagle. Highland. Sierra Nevada. Plenty of other great options to see shows...
Read moreI have literally been here like a million gazillion times but have NOT taken many photos because my visits are always when I am having too much fun dancing with friends! I remember seeing Mark Farina here one night with a date, that was a memorable time that I will always treasure ;) and the song "Dream Machine" always takes me back to that weekend. I definitely crept in here one night on NYE, albeit briefly, but I failed to take any mementos with me other than a random photo of like a kitchen sink or something? Lol, a lot of champagne toasts were had that night as expected!
We used to go to Funk Jam here a lot on Tuesdays and Bluegrass Brunch on Sundays, nothing like enjoying a bloody mary while listening to live banjos with pals on a relaxing Sunday. I am not sure if they still do that, but the food here is always well worth a stop in to AMH. I'll never forget my first visit here, when I wore red booties (pictured) to a Tuesday night Funk Jam with friends and danced allllll night in them! Have y'all ever tried dancing to funk music in high-heels for like 5 hours straight?...
Read moreGreat place, I really give it 2 stars. I went to the Work IT party and it was great for about 3 hours and I think the DJ had a few drinks and just started playing other music....a lot to where a lot of us just stopped dancing around 1130 midnight. We stuck around another half an hour and realized what we paid for was over as far as music we paid to hear. If it was a regular club I would have no issues but to hear 1 2Pac song no Three 6 Mafia, no Trick Daddy one Biggie song and our music would play for 2 mins and change but when he put on the Latin and other music it seemed like every song got fully played. Anyway, great venue great bar but the dj guy shouldn't have gotten paid to drink tequila shots and play music for his friends. My husband and I won't be paying to come to parties here anymore because we didn't get what we paid for when it came to hearing the popular music of the 2000s and 90s. We looked forward to it and skipped other good date night options and it just...
