I have visited this place several times and received great service every time with eyebrow threading and even armpit waxing (which is why I am giving two stars instead of one). I recently visited this establishment seeking a Brazilian wax. I usually only get services from the lovely owner but she was not there that day (02/25). This experience was by FAR the worst wax I have ever received. To start off, the strips the waxer used were uneven and thin so when she ripped off each strip, they would break and not come off smoothly. Therefore, there was so much hair left that she had to reapply wax several times. Moreover, as the strips broke unevenly, she violently snatched each piece from my skin which was extremely painful. She also slowly removed each wax strip which made the wax excruciatingly painful (and if you have gotten waxes you know how important quick strip removal is to a less painful, smooth experience). I would like to say I have a high pain tolerance and even with my first waxing experience I was not in that much pain; I have even waxed myself and did not experience nearly as much discomfort. However, this experience was super painful and quite frankly AWFUL. The waxer also made several inappropriate and unwarranted comments about my pubic area without having a thorough understanding of me and my body. She even left SEVERAL hairs throughout the region and when I asked her to remove them, she said that she “couldn’t”. Brazilian waxes are an intimate process and should be held with high regard as to how the customer is made to feel during the experience. I am highly disappointed as this is my go to thread place and the owner is amazing. I would highly recommend that if you are a person with coarse, thick hair, to not go here for a Brazilian if you do not want to have a traumatic and painful experience. I often walk away disappointed when I try a new eyebrow person since my brows are two different shapes and many don't know how to style them. When COVID hit I took that as an opportunity to try learning to do them myself and I've been struggling with it for the last 4 years. My brows were looking especially botched today as I was walking by this shop today and saw Hasina standing at the doorway. Not only was was Hasina welcoming and kind, but she is also a WHIZ with the thread!! She even sold me on tinting which I have never done before but when she was done my eyebrows looked AMAZING 🥰😍 Hasina is my new eyebrow stylist as I will definitely be coming...

I asked for my brows to be kept full, especially in the front, and upon closer examination ive noticed they’re noticeably thinned out. I was very clear about not wanting a drastic shape change, just a clean-up, but my request wasn’t respected. I’m now left having to grow them back out from scratch. Disappointed, especially since I was specific and polite. She smiled like she wanted to laugh when I showed her a picture with the shape I wanted and said those brows were much thicker and fuller which wasn’t the point- it was the shape.
