Stayed three nights this past weekend. The only thing I can say good is the room was nice. |We checked in with a clerk who was polite though not overly welcoming. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the elevator was kinda scary, lots of loud grinding noises. Through our stay we learned the elevator was a problem, loud, jerky and when you tried to go to the first floor, the button light was broken, you had to press it 5 or 6 times before it would move, giving you time to wonder were you going to be stuck in it.|Breakfast was ok. Typical for a mid-range hotel. The waffle mix was not good though. Had a very sour taste like it was old. The worst part of breakfast was the worker. She was RUDE! The first morning she said good morning and we responded and then she loudly said "I'm down here cooking y'alls food, the least you could do is tell me good morning." Then we heard her tell another guest he needed to return the serving spoon to the right spot because unless he was leaving her a tip (yes, there was a tip jar on the counter) she wasn't there to clean up after him. Our last morning there, she told my 19 year old daughter her shorts were too short and she could ask her to leave as she wasn't dressed. But the woman she was laughing and chatting with moments earlier in the cropped belly baring tank top was apparently just fine. There are signs asking guests to not wear PJ's to the breakfast area and SPECIFICALLY mentioned tank tops were not to be worn. Guess there are different rules for different people.|Both days we returned to the hotel after being out our keys were deactivated. We had to go down to the desk to get them fixed (scary elevator!) and the desk clerks did it but were not apologetic at all for the trouble.|Upon check in, I got a text saying housekeeping would service the room every 3 days. As we were only going to be there for 3 days, I inquired if I could request housekeeping services. The clerk said to just let them know when we would like service and they will send housekeeping. Our second morning, I stopped at the desk on our way out and asked to have to room serviced and notified them the showerhead had a leak that was spraying the ceiling and could maintenance take a look at it. This clerk was very nice and said she would take care of it. When we returned that evening after being gone all day, no one had been there. All I expected was the beds made, towels replaced and the trash emptied but that was apparently too much to ask. |There were ice machines on the 1st, 3rd and 5th floors. The one on the 3rd floor (ours) gave very little ice and when I went to the other ones, neither worked at all. So if you stay here and want ice, bring your own.|I did mention the housekeeping issue when we checked out and the older man at the desk apologized for the oversight. |The worst though was when we got home. My daughter realized her glasses were missing and was thinking she left them on the bathroom counter at the hotel. She called and the clerk told her he did not have a key to the lost and found and to call back in the morning. He also said he wasn't sure if the room had been cleaned yet. Really? So while the room not being cleaned all day was odd and I thought it odd a clerk could not get into the lost and found, it was about 930pm Atlanta time so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. When my daughter called the next morning, the woman who answered was rude and told her she had to describe the glasses and when my daughter gave the best description she could the woman yelled at her that wasn't good enough and what name was on the glasses. I am guessing she meant brand name and we did not know. When asked were the glasses found in our room number, she yelled that they didn't note that, they just threw stuff in the box. I called back and asked for the number of their regional manager. Note here that right next to the front desk at the hotel is a red phone with a big sign saying if a guest experiences a problem with the hotel or employees, to pick up that phone to be connected with the regional manager. The rude woman told me she didn't have the number for the manager. I mentioned the phone and she put me on hold (silence, no hold message) and then came back and said she didn't have it. I said then I need the number for the corporate office. She snapped she didn't have that either. I said fine, I would find it and escalate it myself and asked her name. Complete silence for one minute, me saying hello multiple times and then the phone disconnected. |I found the corporate number for Choice hotels and made a complaint and requested a regional manager call me to personally discuss the issue. Hopefully I will hear back from them. |I do not recommend this hotel. Not only is it run down, most of the staff are rude. Not all, as the one clerk was nice and the older man there was generally polite but I did not see name tags anywhere so I don't...

Update:NEVER heard...
Read moreThe overall manager by the name of eugene, had excellent customer service and was very respectful. He is very appreciated. My comments do not necessarily reflect reflect him as an individual. with that being said, I was greeted by a portly overweight female associated. I never gathered her name at the front desk. When I came to the facility to potentially check-in, I was greeted rudely. I screwed that in a way like I was bothering the employee that was working on other things, and In the establishment, whatever those other things are, I'm not sure or clear. I do not even want to try to figure out what that is. I just know that I got the energy that me coming to the front desk to check-in was a bothered Situation...... i felt that particular employee was disrespectful. I feel that employee needs more training and customer relations. I feel that employee needs to understand that the customer comes first and that if it's not for the customers that spend their hard-earned money to stay at that establishment, there is no establishment. I'm not sure what her priorities are. I'm not sure what angered her throughout her life that day or that week, but I did not deserve any of that. I have never met that individual 1 day of my life and I do not appreciate being disrespected as a grown adult male in this world. Not by any measures, do I accept that or appreciate that That employee, in my opinion, is doing that establishment, a disservice. By being employed there, they will do better looking a replacement or a robot, something of that nature would clearly satisfy others more, the disdain and energy. I felt from this individual who I've never met 1 day in my life who I greeted very politely. blows my mind rolling the eyes a snarl. Instead of a smile, just individually a bad employee. Bad bad bad I would give this rating a one, but like I said earlier, which I do not. Totally. Take away blame from the management Eugene. Because your employees are an extension of management, but Sometimes, employees can roll over management intimidate, rent management and make him management feel as though they have no real recourse, or they cannot do anything. Especially when they need people to cover shifts and work totally understood. The facility won't stay open if you have employees picking and choosing who they're Kind to who they're courteous to and who they are respectful to I know this another guest checking in where they were treated a lot more pleasant. I'm not sure if it has to do with a black male receiving service. From a African American black woman who obviously does not respect black men or have any type of love for that particular race. Even though they are within their selves, it's something I have noticed in time with African American women. When it comes to black men, they barely respect their husbands. But nonetheless, I noticed that the caucasian heavyset woman that decided to check in was greeted and treated night and day as I was period.. these are realistic things, and these are things taking place. They can be ignored. It does not make a difference for me.I'm gainfully employed, and there's a ton of different options for...
