I think this was THE worst breakfast experience I’ve had. It’s actually comical at how terrible and underwhelming the food was. The only positive thing I can say is the servers had a good attitude. Upper management staff were too busy watching tv to help the server that had been there for 4 days (who clearly didn’t understand the menu). My coffee came out incorrectly & I waited 15 minutes for the new one to come out. My food had already been delivered at this point. Waters were never refilled. I ordered biscuit & gravy meal for almost $15! See the picture for what I received. Only a side cup of “homemade gravy” and 1 biscuit?! Very confused, I asked the waiter if this was the entire meal portion, who had no idea. They made me the meal portion and brought it to me in a to go container. & I am not joking when I tell you… this is NOT gravy! This literally tasted like Tostitos queso blanco from the jar with pepper added to it. The furthest thing from “homemade gravy.” 🤮🤢My friend ordered an omelet for 10 dollars which came with a literal slice of kraft cheese on the top (up charged for a $1). & they refused to make a fried egg instead of boiled egg for Avocado toast. Again, the servers were very kind and extremely apologetic but the food was laughable! The only time upper management (or owner) came to our table was to laugh at me attempting to put milk in my coffee (the wrong coffee btw). I thought I was literally being punk’d. With all of this, they still made me pay full price. Didn’t offer a discount or anything for them co topically getting orders incorrectly. $20+ for a coffee, dry biscuit and jarred queso that I received after my table finished eating in a to go box. I’m visiting from Colorado and was excited to have a southern breakfast that I’ve been missing. I was extremely dissatisfied to say the least. Went somewhere else immediately & won’t be stopping in next time I’m in town. I doubt this place will still be open by then. 0/10 for me.

Review: Grits and Eggs – A Cozy Brunch Spot with a Few Hiccups I recently visited Grits and Eggs for brunch after hearing some good things about their Southern-inspired menu. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a laid-back charm that made it easy to settle in and enjoy a slow weekend morning. The food overall was solid. I ordered the pork chops with greens & mac & cheese which came out hot and flavorful, with a nice balance of creamy grits and well-seasoned shrimp. The portion size was generous without being overwhelming, and it definitely felt like comfort food done right. The biscuit on the side was flaky and buttery—probably one of the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, there was some trouble with the coffee order. It took a few tries for the staff to get it right, and the service was a bit slow and disorganized in that department. It wasn’t anything rude or unfriendly—everyone was pleasant—but the confusion over something as simple as a cup of coffee did take away from the overall experience a bit. It just felt like the front-of-house team wasn’t quite in sync that day. That said, I appreciated that they eventually corrected the order without much hassle, and they were apologetic about the delay. Mistakes happen, and their polite attitude helped smooth things over. All in all, Grits and Eggs is still worth a visit, especially if you're craving a hearty Southern brunch. Just be prepared for the occasional service hiccup, particularly during busy hours. I’d go back, maybe give them another shot on a less hectic day.

The staff had a great attitude and were nice, this has nothing to do with them. The service in general was decent, i didn’t get a single refill of water. This was truly the worst and most overpriced breakfast I’ve ever had. My friends at one point asked if we were being punked. I ordered the avocado toast, which was maybe worth $3 MAX I asked if instead of a boiled egg they could do a fried egg, nope they wouldn’t substitute, it was truly the most bland and underwhelming food I’ve ever had i would’ve preferred eating in my elementary school cafeteria. My friends ordered the saddest and worst omelet I’ve ever seen which cost $10, it is LAUGHABLE how terrible it was and how expensive it was. My other friend ordered the $15 biscuit and gravy meal and it was also insane how bad it was. The biscuit was so dry, the gravy was (i am convinced) tostino queso from the jar, DEFINITELY not gravy. All of this together of course had us asking the “am i being punkd” question. I will neverrrrrr go back to this place, i can’t imagine they will stay open long. Everything on the menu was so expensive, not tasty, under seasoned and just so cheaply put together. I feel bad because the staff again was super kind and i don’t want this to reflect on them but this place is not worth visiting.

Typically love this food chain! But this specific location experience was truly ridiculous. We came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, host was very accommodating to our large party of 7 as they were a bit busy. As some of us waited at the bar- the bartender informed he’d be leaving but instead on making our cocktails before he ended his shift , and he did just that! However, once we were seated at our table we were approached with the question “can I get yall some drinks?” but we informed him that drinks were ordered already, with irritation in the services voice the next question was “what’s yall order?”… which as a server myself for the past five yrs the steps of service were not checked off. This server truly liked the value of hospitality. We weren’t greeted kindly with a warm welcome or his name. It took us all of seven mins to decide on our desired entrees and at that time we assumed they were put in shortly after. An hour had passed by it’s about 4:19.. drinks are gone and still our food hadn’t arrived and our server was MIA, after asking for a manager and mentioning the issue lack of service by the server , the food , and not even a water in site to combat all the cocktails on the table our servers returned with water and a wack “apology” about the food not being out yet… at this point it’s going on 5pm they are literally stacking chairs on the table!!! Big huge thanks to the young lady who jumped in and cared for us! She proceeded to bring of our huge tray of food on her shoulder and started getting the food out to us.. before our server attempted to tell her to move so he could finish the job… whoever this server is was truly unpleasant to have from the beginning in his tones how he tried to rush us into order without any menus information. After waiting nearly two our to receive food, items still came out wrong. At this point we are all truly irritated and disappointed in the service ready to head back to Savannah GA. After asking for accommodations we were able to get a discount added to the bill. You would think at this point the server would be right back with the bill… he is in our face behind the front counter with his phone to his ear!! Thankfully the bartender from earlier is still there and decided try to get us out the door. Of course here comes our server hovering over him trying to tell him what to do! After expressing his laziness and like there of we finally closed out and still of course had no discount ! Had to get refunded for some and for my personal order “ refunds couldn’t be made on alcohol because it was illegal “ as someone who worked at a bar that is 100% a lie by far!! But if that was the cost I paid for expressing their sorry service so be in! The table behind us sat right before us was having the same issue. IF YOU DONT LIKE HOSPITALITY GET OUT THE INDUSTRY OR STAY IN THE KITCHEN & WASH DISHES! Dont be a...

When my party of 3 (including myself) entered the restaurant we waited for about 3 minutes before anyone said anything to us. A gentleman walked up to us and asked us how many was in our party, I responded 3 and explained the other person was parking. There isn’t much room for people to wait in the front of the restaurant so my husband and I tried to move out of the way by standing in front of the coffee bar part. At first the host looked like he was finding a table for us but then began cleaning off tables and running food to different tables. My husband and I stood in the front waiting for a table for about 20 minutes even after our last person who was parking arrived. With plenty of tables available and what looked like adequate staff, I found that quite strange but nevertheless was eager to be seated.

Once we were seated, our waitress promptly greeted our table and started taking drink orders which arrived shortly after she put them in. We ordered food pretty soon after to expedite our service. I simply ordered 2 pancakes and eggs which came with your choice of homes fries or grits and a meat which I ordered chicken sausage. My husband ordered chicken and waffles and our brother ordered French toast with eggs and an order of home fries and also chicken sausage.

While waiting for our food we noticed that everyone in the restaurant was sitting with no food at their table. We also noticed that none of these tables were seated at the same time, which to us indicated poor kitchen management. We also noticed that when they were running food to the one table that was receiving food, they ran it one dish at a time.

We waited about 50min to an hour before we received our food. When we did get our food it did all come out at once which was a great thing. The food looked good so we were hopeful it would taste better to make up for the long wait. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. My pancakes were hard on the bottom and really needed a knife to cut through. Typically pancakes should be soft enough to separate them with the side of a fork and eat them regularly. The grits were ok at best and had a slice of pepper jack cheese laid on top of it. The eggs were cold and the chicken sausage was at best ok. Everything on the plate was extremely underwhelming. My husband who ordered the chicken and waffles and my brother who had the French toast also complained about how hard their waffle and French toast was. My husbands chicken was really salty and cold .

We spent a total of $65 and added a $12 tip. I would not recommend this restaurant if you’re...
