Just watched the DCI band competition at Parc, and the entire experience was a study in inefficiency and no planning. First getting into the parking lot was a disaster, though that’s more on the 3rd party they hired. The bathrooms did not have enough water pressure to flush, and had almost no lighting. And only two of the main concession stands were open, and each with a bare minimum staff who couldn’t keep up with demand so the lines were hundreds of people deep. The drink vendors had lukewarm water in a heat wave. They prioritized the ice for alcoholic drinks. And then all of the vendors ran out of non-alcoholic beverages with over two hours left, during a heat wave. At least half the crowd were high school kids! Are you didn’t make sure to provide sufficient water and non alcoholic beverages during a record heat wave?! And apparently they only bothered hiring parking attendants for the arrivals. Because leaving was impossible until patrons took it upon themselves to get out of their cars and move the barriers that the parking company left blocking the way. The stadium was less than half full. How does this venue deal with an actual full football game crowd? There is no excuse for how terribly this...

I've been a Braves fan for many years and there's a few things you can come to expect out of going to a game at Turner Field.

The Braves always play well at home. Most seasons they have one of the best home records in baseball. Odds are you'll see a good game. You'll also likely experience a series of lines and waiting. It takes a long time to get to a parking lot. It takes a long time to get into the stadium. It takes a long time to wait for the bathroom. It takes a long time to get food. You get the idea.

Parking is $15 this year. If you're going with more than 4 people, it's more economical to drive than to take the train. MARTA really is no faster than driving. You have to take a bus to the nearest train station and on games with a lot of people, they sometimes run out of buses. There was a playoff game I once waited 25 minutes for a bus to get to the train.

My one pet peeve about Turner Field is they can't help but fill every moment with contests on the giant video board. Where I sit, the PA is usually so loud that I have to wait for the contest to end before I can go back to having a conversation with my friends. I long for the days of Fulton County Stadium with just some music in...

Feels more like an abandoned mall than a sport venue. There were two bathrooms open. One on one end of the stadium and one on the other. The rest were shuttered off. There were also only 2 or 3 concession stands open and the rest were shuttered off. The parts of the stadium that don't get used were dark and cavernous. The seating that doesn't get used has bird droppings and muck around it. The screen is on its last legs and half the pixels are burnt out. They ran out of beer and food. The canned beer was expired by several months. They had a food truck on the visitor side that didn't run out of food, but the food quality wasn't good. The field was in great condition and the sight lines were great throughout the lower level. They have a really good marching band. They're constantly piping in loud music instead of letting the band play though. They play the music overly loud to hide the fact that there isn't much of a crowd. Tickets are cheap, but the on-field product is subpar. There is zero parking control or traffic direction, so it took almost an hour to leave the parking lot even though the stadium was less than a...

Came here to watch a college football game and see the marching bands perform and also for a white party. I was pleased at the cleanliness of the stadium. I hadn’t been back here since it was the Braves stadium. It was really easy to find our seats and we had a good view of the entire field. The seats are a bit tight and hard, but it was a baseball stadium. I think discomfort in the seats is expected. I did get food while here. They had some food trucks inside and other companies set up selling food. The prices were to be expected. The food quality was really good. I want to say I paid right under $5 for ice cream and I wasn’t at all surprised. The main entrance is very open, so we took time to sit out there on some steps to get away from our seats for a minute. It wasn’t very busy so it was like a mini break from reality. I’d come back here again for an event. The space is really clean and open. The restrooms were clean too. The directional signs were on point and helpful.

GSU has done a great job bringing a world class stadium to this eclectic campus. Located next to one of the busiest areas in the country (the stadium is visible from 1-85), GSU has succeeded in achieving that excited, college town vibe plopped in the middle of downtown Atlanta. Still pristine (the stadium just turned 1!), the accommodations are continuing to grow. A great selection of GSU merchandise is located in its own store immediately behind the main ticketing area. Alcohol is served and the clear bag policy is strictly enforced. Food is not great, but it isn't the worst either. Signs inside and outside are easy to spot. Parking is reasonable and easy to maneuver. The employees seem happy to be working and happy to support GSU and its events.

My first baseball game and I loved it! The women, the food, girls, desserts, females, the Braves last but the women, goodness! Great atmosphere, nice weather, horrible traffic after any event. Scalpers teeing to sell us tickets even though they just saw us buy ours, annoying! Great views, walked all over, expensive gift shop, I still bought a tank top😛. Friendly crowd, cool event staff. Lots of laughs! Highly recommend but the stadium will shutter after this season, this is the Braves final year playing there. I don't know a lick about baseball but I thoroughly enjoyed myself, see ya next year!
