Firstly, I'm traumatized. IM HURT. I feel taken advantage of and retaliated against.
Dorothy has been my nail tech faithfully over the past 6 Years. I relocated south 1 hr and 30 minute drive away from this shop. I have been traveling round trip (3 hrs total) monthly to get my full service of nail fill and full spa pedicures for the last year and a half. When i find someone who is able to be consistent with their delivery of services that I like, i stay with them. I'm big on Loyalty.
I regretfully decided to try a new shop where I reside and got a pedicure and full set- I was not happy at all. My shape was horrible, the acrylic and gel application wasn't good. I called Lush on Moreland Ave, was told that Dorothy was off but Tina was there- I spoke to Tina while in tears and asked if she could fit me in. She said yes. Note: Tina has always been nice to me and I appreciated the warmness and empathy she gave me over the phone. She gave me the feeling that she cared and valued me as a customer, even though i was not her regular customer. **She has done my nails once while Dorothy was off- however, Dorothy passive aggressively made it clear to me the last time she did my nails that she didn't like that I went to Tina the previous visit. It was clear and apparent that Dorothy was offended. * I arrived, requested a polish change on my toes from green to an off white color and a soak off and full set. I was told by Dorothy's mom who serviced me that she could not thoroughly remove the shavings from the green gel polish from the grooves of my toe nail beds unless I was given ANOTHER PEDICURE. When in fact I know she could have ran water and /or acetone on them and cleaned them to do the polish change. After the pedicure, she gave me soak off materials. My nails were cut off and I proceeded to soak my nails- after about 15 mins, I was told Dorothy arrived. I spoke to Dorothy at 6:15- 45 mins until closing and she advised me that I would not be able to have my nails done due to Tina being booked for the rest of the night and she had no opening. She was completing a polish change. I cried while expressing how upset I was for having to drive 1 hr and 30 minutes to Atlanta and be misled. She was not willing to service me the last 30 minutes- she finished the polish change and went into the back break room for 30 mins while I was forced to stop soaking my nails, mid soak. The acrylic had melted around my cuticles, under my natural nails which were severed and ill shaped. I asked Dorothy's mom to please just drill my acrylic that was left evenly, please clean them and polish them to allow me to leave (she told she couldn't and also asked me not to provoke the uv lamp as it will "burn it out"). :( I paid $112 including a $10 tip for Dorothy's mom's work- even though she swindled me by requiring me to get a pedicure ($150 at the previous nail salon before coming here for recovery services) as I believe in tipping regardless if im happy- i respect the service industry as a whole. My career is aligned so I still tip.
Not only was this entire misleading experience hurtful due to my long standing patronage, but it was down right neglectful and UNPROFESSIONAL and disrespectful to my travels, gas and time. As a customer, I deserved to be serviced as I was promised. I will never return and I hope this message conveys to the potential customers and staff that it's never ok to treat a woman this way. I take pride in my nails as it is a part of my self care that I faithly maintain. I left in tears feeling thrown away, taken advantage of and underappreciated after the last 6 years. I ALSO feel that Dorothy refused to accommodate due to the fact that Tina was to do my nails. Even if that wasn't the case, it's the unjust experience that creates the perception. Especially with no prior incidents or negative engagements between myself and the Lush Staff. No matter how great my nails have flourished, its never ok to be taken advantage of, neglected, disregarded nor wrongfully rejected.

Read moreUpdate: I called to speak with a manager yesterday to discuss options to acknowledge the challenges with my appointment (I don’t live or visit that area often so traveling there for a free redo was not possible). The representative said she would call me back with additional options but she didn’t. In the meantime I got my nails redone. That nail tech shared thoughts on why my manicure from Lush Nail Bar was easy to peel off and why it had bubbles. With each scenario she shared, I realized even more that the tech from Lush Nail Bar should have recognized and addressed the problem during my appointment. And while I do appreciate their quick follow up to my initial review, the lack of follow up to the phone call was a little surprising. But no big deal! My nails are done properly and I’m ready to attend my first Falcons game (even though I’m an Eagles fan)!Just wanted to share an update to complete this review!
—- Popped in to get my nails done while waiting for my wax appointment next door. I just wanted a quick manicure and black gel polish. The gentleman that did my gel manicure was very nice but I think the gel he was using was old. The finished product wasn’t great for the price ($34). I still tipped, but as I left I noticed some of my nails had bubbles. Unfortunately, after taking a shower tonight, my gel polish is coming off. This has never happened with any other gel manicure I’ve received at other places. I’m now peeling off the rest of the polish (yes, it just peels off) so that I can go to my regular nail salon tomorrow, to get new polish. I will not go back to this location. However, I have to admit, the gentleman that did my manicure did a beautiful acrylic set with gel for someone before me. The set was gorgeous. I truly think my manicure wasn’t great because the polish was old. I wish he would’ve realized it at the time and just told me so I could pick...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Lush Nail Salon, and I am absolutely thrilled with my experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such warmth and professionalism that I immediately felt at ease. The salon itself has a calming, inviting atmosphere, with a clean, modern aesthetic that makes you feel pampered from the start.
I opted for a manicure and pedicure, and the team at Lush really went above and beyond. My nail technician was not only highly skilled but also incredibly attentive and friendly. She took the time to listen to what I wanted, offering thoughtful suggestions along the way. It's clear that the staff is passionate about their craft, as they pay attention to every tiny detail, ensuring that every nail is perfectly shaped and polished.
The products they use are top-notch, and I loved how my nails felt after the treatment — smooth, shiny, and strong. The quality of the polish they used lasted much longer than I expected, with no chips or fading even after several weeks. I also appreciated the relaxing atmosphere, where the technicians aren’t rushed, and they truly focus on giving you the best possible experience.
What really stood out to me, though, was the overall kindness of the staff. They genuinely care about their clients, and I was treated with such respect and warmth throughout my entire visit. Everyone there seems to enjoy what they do, and it makes a huge difference in the overall experience.
Whether you're looking for a quick touch-up or a full spa-like treatment, Lush Nail Salon is the perfect place to go. I will definitely be returning for my future nail care needs, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for not only beautiful nails but also a relaxing and enjoyable time. It’s a five-star experience...
