no seasoning like none just so plain and basic no spice no flavor no heat $24 oxtail plate and the cabbage has corn in it thats random. Oxtails are cooked nicely and soft(points for that) but plain it’s just like I’m eating air tasteless oxtails and I’m Bajan where is the scotch bonnet pepper? where is the Maggie cube? Good for beef patty, cocoa bread, and DG cola that’s it. The chef must not be tasting the food because I know any reasonable Caribbean elder would taste what I was served and be very disappointed. It’s like you went through the motions and forgot to use any thyme anything.

First time at the restaurant and got a curry goat and jerk barbecue chicken. The lady at the counter was rude.I asked about the prices. I want to buy a small curry goat. She was short with me and her attitude was nasty to be at the counter. She said they don’t sell small at 4pm . The small was $11 and the large $13. When I got home the curry goat was salty and horrible. I had a stomach ache after the food and I didn’t finish it.it was not good. I threw it in the trash and I didn’t eat that much. I don’t even want to talk about the jerk barbecue and this is the next day

This place is a good option for Jamaican food if you’re in the city. There are only 2 tables so it is not ideal for dining in. We ordered the oxtails and curry goat for lunch. The oxtails were good, but the curry goat was delicious. We also ordered a side of the mac and cheese, and it was highly disappointing. It tasted like boiled noodles, with semi-melted shredded cheese on top. There are a few parking spots next to the restaurant, but the main option would be street parking which costs everyday except Sundays and holidays.

DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!!!!!!

ZERO STARS!!!!

The owners daughter/register lady is CONSISTENTLY rude and offers EXTREMELY POOR customer service.

Upon my first experience I was met with an attitude and a lack of communication about the food offered as a novice to Jamaican cuisine. I waived the experience as a fluke and kept it moving.

Today, however, was the LAST TIME my family and I will EVER spend money within the walls of this restaurant. Once again the lady at the register offered HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and absolutely no human under. Like literally robotic.

Today my brother purchased an Irish Moss drink for $4. After opening it and taking a sip, he re-capped the drink and set it atop the bar-style counter that breaks away from the front counter. Moments later the drink falls to the floor due to no fault of his own. We then realized the bar-style counter was extremely unstable which created a slanted counter top, which is responsible for my brother's drink falling to the floor.

When my brother communicated what happen the lady claimed that not only would she not replace the drink but also pressed the idea that the issue is not "common" and that he would need to buy ANY OTHER drink in the restaurant. She then stood EXTREMELY FIRM behind her idea and that there is no one else to speak to regarding the matter.

My brother thoroughly insisted that he talk to someone hire up to which her answer was that they would tell us the same thing she said. After another 5 minute back and forth conversation she eventually called her father to the front. Within 60 seconds my brother's drink was compensated. After 10 minutes of back and forth the issue was resolve with one head nod from the owner.

The idea that we can spend $100 in a sitting and cannot be compensated for a $4 drink is the most ridiculous thing I've dealt with in a long time. I'm sure this place will last beyond this review but NO ONE in our network of friends and family will EVER return to support this business.

Support for black owned businesses needs to be held accountable by the service to its customers. This is unacceptable. Counter Lady, if you're reading this, your energy is off. That energy affects the world. Stop affecting the world with negativity. Remove yourself from the counter and enlist someone who's energy is more accommodating to customers. It's called customer service. You are literally at the counter to service us.

To the owner, all respects for this great black-owned business. The food is good and pushed out quick. The problem is not with you but with your daughter (or granddaughter). She is not who needs to be up front. If your positive attitude was in front I guarantee that you'd have more return customers. I hope you are able to make the changes internally that are needed to prevent further reviews...

Very dishonest and rude. If I could give a negative number 5 I would. This place is not original Jamaican food. It should be called bland soul food. The customer service was horrible. We wasted our time ordering a veggie roti, got flat bread and steamed collard greens with a chunk of carrot. Told the rude girl at the front that this is not what we thought we were ordering and she told us we could not exchange or get our money back. I asked for the manager, she comes out with an attitude. I think that they are family, I explained the situation and she ask if the girl had explained what veggies to expect, we said no. Then my companion mentioned that this is not how Jamaicans would prepare this meal. Oh my god, this set the owner off. She says "If I was to cater to Jamaicans her lights would not be on, and we in the caribbean do not eat roti that much", I was so upset. I can't go into all the details about the amount of arguing I had to do to get my money back and also the verbal disrespect that I had to deal with. This was the most humiliating experience I have had in a place where I was spending my money to support a business. I concluded that they don't like being told that they did false advertisement, the cashier did not do her job. The fact that I am Jamaican made it even worst. I was good enough to take my money but not good enough to serve properly. To me if you don't like Jamaicans don't call your restaurant "Fox Original Jamaican Restaurant", have 3 huge Jamaican flags on your building and play Jamaican music and trick customers that this is the culture you are representing. I could careless about people's background but it is very wicked when folks hate a certain type of people and treat them with hostility but makes money off their culture and misinforming people about who they are...

We were looking for a Jamaican restaurant during a short visit to Atlanta and Foxx came up as one of the best and most positively reviewed. I have no clue who is eating at this restaurant as it cannot be Jamaican people. From when we stepped inside there was a weird smell that I presumed to be the food but it was not pleasant. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and the lady asked me if I wanted white, yellow rice or rice and peas. Jamaicans do not eat yellow rice. It is African-American soul food. She also asked if I wanted collard greens. Jamaicans don't eat collard greens as well. When I tasted the food it was completely bland, you could taste the spice but there was no flavor whatsoever. The rice was also bland and tasted slightly overcooked. I had to throw most of it away and I don't like to throw away...
