I came here twice and both times I learned that the UPS store in Edgewood has the better trained, more competent and friendlier staff. First time I needed to get a document notarized. It wasn't something I just put together, it was a government issued bi-lingual document in German and English. Once they heard that it is bi-lingual the answer to the question if they can do it was a straight no. No look at the document, just a straight no because she can't notarize something she can't read. My husband asked her if she has any idea where else they would be able to help us if this is a requirement to notarize something but she didn't even made the effort to tell us that she doesn't know, she just started ignoring us. Later that day I found several notaries who told me that it is absolutely not a problem and as I was in the area I checked with UPS in Edgewood and they notarized the document without any problem. Then I came back today because I thought I just caught them on a bad day. This time I needed passport pictures but not for a US passport but for a German one. I mean, even CVS can do this and in the past I got those from Fedex but I don't have a Fedex super close by anymore, so I thought I try UPS in Glenwood. Walked in, asked if they do passport pictures - same lady as last time- and the answer was yes. Then I said that I would need them for a German passport and that the requirements are basically the same, I only need slightly different dimensions.. now the answer was no. Only American passports. But you didn't even see the dimensions yet, maybe you can do it? No, only American passports. But what if I was an American and need the pictures for a visa? Silence again. End of the story was that I drove to the UPS in Edgewood to get my passport pictures. I'm not sure if they are just badly trained or have a problem with people from other countries but UPS as a company with an international footprint should think about if this is the kind of service they...
Read moreI have never had a good experience here, ever since they opened many years ago.
Today I came in for a notary, and I was told by one employee (Sonam, who was very polite) that it would be $6 per document.
Then when the notary came out (S. Patel is what the seal said but I’m not sure of his first name), he told me it would be $10 per document because there was a line for a witness as well.
Since I needed 3 copies and $30 is an absurd price, I decided to use the copy machine (which is next to the door and has a “self-service” sign over it). But when I went to use the copy machine a lady with pink hair yelled at me because apparently the copier “isn’t for customer use.”
Excuse me?? Why was it out in the customer area instead of behind the registers? Was that attitude necessary?
This is one of many bad experiences I’ve had including:
-sending a document to be printed with a short deadline, paying extra to expedite it, and then being told they didn’t have the right kind of paper (???) and couldn’t print it. They didn’t even issue a refund, and said I had to go through UPS customer service…who said I needed to go through this store for a refund.
-attempting to mail a package only to receive a call saying the package was “not appropriately packaged” (when I came to pick it back up the bottom of the box had been torn and looked like it had been soaked in water—NOT how I left it with them).
There are so many better options out there, and at this point I’ve needed to find them all ñ. For printing, the East Atlanta Copy Center is right around the corner. Notary services are available for free at the library. And for shipping? Just go to literally any...
Read moreOverall, I have had a very good experience coming in here to ship items out. However, today, I did come in to pick up a package, and the lady with the pink hair had tried to assist me. I spoke to a UPS delivery driver earlier regarding this specific package and he told me that it was in fact at this location so I came here to pick it up. Once I showed my ID and tracking number to the lady with the pink hair, she told me that the package would be delivered tomorrow. I told her yes, I see it’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow so that’s why I’m here to pick it up because my tracking shows it’s been here for 2 days. She then got somewhat loud and very snippy with me and talked to me like I was so slow like I couldn’t understand up from down. She then proceeded to say in a rude manner and tone that the package was not at their location and if it’s not at their location, I wouldn’t be able to pick it up. Which duhhh if you don’t have it I can’t pick it up I’m not stupid. But she continued to talk in circles and tried to make me feel stupid about the situation and had other customers looking and engaging in this situation. I’m honestly surprised how calm I stayed during this because I truly didn’t deserve to be talked to that way. I was just trying to locate my package, it wasn’t rocket science. I don’t know if my package was there and she didn’t feel like getting it or if it wasn’t there. I also have no clue if she was having a bad day or if she’s always like this but good customer goes a long way. I just do not like the way she talked down to me in a rude condescending manner. If and when I go back I’ll make sure to stay away from her and have someone...
