I went in yesterday(2/14/25) to pickup up a prescription package from Gifthealth. The prescription was time senstive and arrived at the store on Feb 13, 2025. I gave the lady my drivers license to retreive the item. She brought it to the counter and told me that I need to pay $10.00 to pick up the prescription package. I asked why, "because the sender didnt specify it to be sent to an access point." "Yes, the sender did, the stores address was on the label as an access point, I replied." I have never paid to pick up a package, nor did I pay to pick up the previous package sent by the same company a month before. While at the store, I wasnt able to get the issue resolved with the shipper of Gifthealth in verfying with UPS. However, Gifthealth did imply that the rates are contracted. Today, when I called the store, the package was returned early by this store after my complaint, termed as time sensitive. My question to EVERYONE IN ATLANTA IS, IF THIS PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED AT MY HOME, IT WOULD BE FREE, WHY WOULD THIS SAME PACKAGE BE $10.00 AT THE STORE? I did call the UPS customer service number to ask them and file a complaint. I was told the access point is not for UPS company franchises. The shipper must pay for the access point cost. UPS SAYS THE COST SHOULD HAVE BEEN $7.99 NOT $10.00. I WILL FOLLOW UP WITH THE SHIPPER TO ENSURE THIS COST IS CONTRACTED AND PAID.

I have worked at a UPS Store before, so I know they are a franchise. The other reviews about this location’s price gouging habits are spot on. My partner went to return an Amazon package for me today. We had to get the label printed, so he emailed it over to them for them to print out. We were more than happy to pay the $0.25 for the print job, but $3 for “computer use,” seriously? He emailed them from his phone, not touching a computer the entire time he was in the store. The owners need to be checked by corporate. EDIT: The owner’s response below is hilarious. At least half was straight up copy and pasted. The computers they use are not “high-quality” nor does it take “expert labor” to print a shipping label. Use your profit margins to cover your overhead expenses instead of price gouging your customers.

Hello I’m contacting you to see why this store is closed when the door reads it should be open at 0900? There was a line of customers who were confused and upset that this keeps happening. It it imperative as a business to be accessible at the times you say you will be. This community and the people you service count on you to do at least this. Thank you

I came here twice and both times I learned that the UPS store in Edgewood has the better trained, more competent and friendlier staff. First time I needed to get a document notarized. It wasn't something I just put together, it was a government issued bi-lingual document in German and English. Once they heard that it is bi-lingual the answer to the question if they can do it was a straight no. No look at the document, just a straight no because she can't notarize something she can't read. My husband asked her if she has any idea where else they would be able to help us if this is a requirement to notarize something but she didn't even made the effort to tell us that she doesn't know, she just started ignoring us. Later that day I found several notaries who told me that it is absolutely not a problem and as I was in the area I checked with UPS in Edgewood and they notarized the document without any problem. Then I came back today because I thought I just caught them on a bad day. This time I needed passport pictures but not for a US passport but for a German one. I mean, even CVS can do this and in the past I got those from Fedex but I don't have a Fedex super close by anymore, so I thought I try UPS in Glenwood. Walked in, asked if they do passport pictures - same lady as last time- and the answer was yes. Then I said that I would need them for a German passport and that the requirements are basically the same, I only need slightly different dimensions.. now the answer was no. Only American passports. But you didn't even see the dimensions yet, maybe you can do it? No, only American passports. But what if I was an American and need the pictures for a visa? Silence again. End of the story was that I drove to the UPS in Edgewood to get my passport pictures. I'm not sure if they are just badly trained or have a problem with people from other countries but UPS as a company with an international footprint should think about if this is the kind of service they...

I have never had a good experience here, ever since they opened many years ago.

Today I came in for a notary, and I was told by one employee (Sonam, who was very polite) that it would be $6 per document.

Then when the notary came out (S. Patel is what the seal said but I’m not sure of his first name), he told me it would be $10 per document because there was a line for a witness as well.

Since I needed 3 copies and $30 is an absurd price, I decided to use the copy machine (which is next to the door and has a “self-service” sign over it). But when I went to use the copy machine a lady with pink hair yelled at me because apparently the copier “isn’t for customer use.”

Excuse me?? Why was it out in the customer area instead of behind the registers? Was that attitude necessary?

This is one of many bad experiences I’ve had including:

-sending a document to be printed with a short deadline, paying extra to expedite it, and then being told they didn’t have the right kind of paper (???) and couldn’t print it. They didn’t even issue a refund, and said I had to go through UPS customer service…who said I needed to go through this store for a refund.

-attempting to mail a package only to receive a call saying the package was “not appropriately packaged” (when I came to pick it back up the bottom of the box had been torn and looked like it had been soaked in water—NOT how I left it with them).

There are so many better options out there, and at this point I’ve needed to find them all ñ. For printing, the East Atlanta Copy Center is right around the corner. Notary services are available for free at the library. And for shipping? Just go to literally any...

Overall, I have had a very good experience coming in here to ship items out. However, today, I did come in to pick up a package, and the lady with the pink hair had tried to assist me. I spoke to a UPS delivery driver earlier regarding this specific package and he told me that it was in fact at this location so I came here to pick it up. Once I showed my ID and tracking number to the lady with the pink hair, she told me that the package would be delivered tomorrow. I told her yes, I see it’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow so that’s why I’m here to pick it up because my tracking shows it’s been here for 2 days. She then got somewhat loud and very snippy with me and talked to me like I was so slow like I couldn’t understand up from down. She then proceeded to say in a rude manner and tone that the package was not at their location and if it’s not at their location, I wouldn’t be able to pick it up. Which duhhh if you don’t have it I can’t pick it up I’m not stupid. But she continued to talk in circles and tried to make me feel stupid about the situation and had other customers looking and engaging in this situation. I’m honestly surprised how calm I stayed during this because I truly didn’t deserve to be talked to that way. I was just trying to locate my package, it wasn’t rocket science. I don’t know if my package was there and she didn’t feel like getting it or if it wasn’t there. I also have no clue if she was having a bad day or if she’s always like this but good customer goes a long way. I just do not like the way she talked down to me in a rude condescending manner. If and when I go back I’ll make sure to stay away from her and have someone...
