I had a terrible experience here today. As I was putting my groceries onto the belt, I accidentally dropped some eggs which is entirely on me. But there were two staff standing at the register, and when I told them that I dropped some eggs, they completely ignored me, even though I had attempted to catch one so I had broken eggshell and egg dripping on The belt and the floor. One of the staff that was on the register was new so I understand her, not stepping in, but there was also an older gentleman with her who ignored me until I stepped directly in front of them and asked for a trashcan or paper towels he pointed to a trashcan behind me and didnt help any further. The kind woman that was in line in front of me had seen everything that was going on and handed me a roll of paper towels that were at another register And attempted to help me clean up some of the mess. While all this was going on a manager finally came over, but she was only trying to fix the mistake on the register that the new staff had made. It was only after I directly asked her for help. She made excuses and just said that the Person on register was new. This doesn’t excuse the other man who was there and wasn’t New. Not for nothing but It’s common sense than in a situation like that you provide a customer with paper towel towels or something I didn’t even want for them to clean it up. I was. The woman who was helping me to clean up told me that she had bad experiences with that manager being rude to her in the past. The manager walked away after I told her there was no sense in her, helping me wipe up the last little bit of On the belt. There was only one person in line behind me and the manager went and opened the register next to us and started ringing them out, which was the last Straw for me. I left all my groceries on the belt. Left the car full of groceries in the And walked out. I’ve never had such a bad embarrassing experience in a store. It was in no way their fault that I dropped the eggs, but their reaction to the situation was completely...
Read moreI wanted to compliment and employee by the name of Jacob. Today he was working the self check-out. I went in with the intention of only buying 3 items so, I only grabbed a basket. By the time I finished I was already 15 items in and carrying 5 -2lt bottles of soda and a basket full of groceries. As soon as I get to the self check, trying not to have a disaster or paying attentionto anything else, Jacob sees me and with the kindest voice says Hello. I said that I didn't expect to need a shopping cart and without a hitch Jacob runs to get me one, sets up a shopping bag for me, puts the basket away for me and corrects my scanning bloopers and I try to get my self together. I really love this Stop & Shop and I come from Pawtucket to shop here. Every employee I come in contact with are sweethearts. From bakery and deli. But Jacob is exceptional 👏. I love his energy and he has certainly uplifting mine today. Whoever raised him did an AMAZING job! Please give that boy a raise or a promotion. I hope to see...
Read moreIt's a shame when meat spoils overnight. They used to have quality food. Used to. Market Basket just moving in a few years ago put stop and shop into a downward spiral. It's a shame. Well, if you need to use a scooter to shop... be weary. The very LAST time i brought my mother (who has copd and cant even walk to the bathroom here at home without being out of breath) here, the punk carriage wrangler made her feel like a piece of trash for needing a scooter. And, although they have up to 4 scooters at any time, the little bastard didnt wrangle a single one. All he did was give her a dirty look. If it was the 1st time we would be cool and understand, but we have had the same problem with the same wrangler a few times. It's one thing if the things are being used or are outta commission, but tgey weren't. Only neglected, like the patrons. Sorry south attleboro stop and shop, you lost our patronage forever, good luck in your downspiral...
