We had the WORST shopping experience at this Polo Ralph Lauren store (store #: 264) on November 23, 2024!!!!!! While we walking into the store, the entrance detector was triggered, we were not quite sure about the reason. We were carrying a coach backpack and two newer purchased Timberland boots in the shoe boxes inside the shopping bags. Obviously, the alarming sound caught everybody's attention at the entrance, my husband and I paused questioning what is going on, however, the store staff waved us in and gave us a sign "it's okay". So, we did not think too much and started shopping. After we checked out around 18:30pm and tried to leave the same door. The detector alarm went off again!!!!! We were surprised with the alarming sound and paused at the entrance/exit, of course, we got all the attention from all the people around looking at us suspiciously. It was absolutely the worst feeling, feel like two thieves were caught on the scene. We turned around and saw two store staff waved us out and gave us the sign "it's okay". So, we continued our way walking out the entrance. Seconds later, a guy presumably to be the security guard or staff from the store chased us out the store, stopped us, and requested us going back to the store to have a check. That was the most terrible moment to be assumed to be thieves in the public area. We went back with everything, newer purchased clothing from the store, our backpack and two other shopping bags. The female staff with scarf covered on the head was nice at first, she was trying to explain that they sometimes would miss taking out the magnetic tags. I expressed my understanding and talked to her that we had the issues when getting in, and I assumed the boots may be the cause. The female staff then asked my husband walked out with the bags having boots in them. Surprisingly, it did not set off the alarm at all. We were all confused. Whatever, we all thought the issues were no longer exist. So, the lady returned the shopping bag to us, and we were heading out again. BUT while we both walking out by the detector, the alarm beeped the third time!!! I then, realized that I have the coach backpack on my back which has a magnetic lock. Therefore, I turned around to the store lady, said "Oh, maybe it is the backpack!". My husband said "Yeah, it must be the backpack!" . The store lady looked hopeless and replied: "If it's your bag, we cannot search it", then, she left us there confusing. My husband and I had been looked suspicious enough for the THREE-TIME alarming at the door. We did not get a good answer or solution from any staff. We were angry. So, my husband walked back to the store and told the lady, she can search our backpack, we have nothing to be afraid of. The lady had the shitty attitude gave us the feeling like "we have no right to check up your bag, so, there is no way to find out whether you have taken anything or not". Without a great solution, we left and the whole night of pre-holiday shopping happy mood was ruined. Not long after, we decided to call back to the store and report the bad experience. We deserve a apology as a loyal Polo Ralph Lauren customer. Since then, we have not heard anything back yet. I cannot...
Read moreMy significant other and I decided to come here recently on October 10th. The whole experience was going well and we had the pleasure of being taken care of by a worker (sorry can’t remember his name, but he was an older gentleman with a blue shirt and he was doing work mostly in the fitting rooms). My partner had a polo track suit ready up front for us to purchase and we wanted to pick out a shirt to go underneath when an older white man with a grey polo shirt and grey hair comes over to us and starts making conversation with us acting as tho he is a customer and is looking for a good deal and is asking us what the best deal is here. He seemed really nice at first, but very quickly he got insanely close to me to try and look in my bags I assume. We end our conversation and we get in line to check out and this man hops over and nearly tripped over the rope to the line just to get close to us again to see Then he starts spewing off and making conversation with the cashier completely disrupting everyone just to ask her what the best year of the year is. Then he says I’ll come back when there’s a good deal. He leaves the store, spends 20 seconds looking through the window at us and then walks back in and to the back of the store like nothing happened. To the polo Great Lakes people/owners: please lord if you’re trying to protect your assets by having a secret shopper, don’t have them harass customers and invade their personal space. He was blatantly obvious and with how creepy he was, that sure is a way to scare away customers. Very...
Read moreI'm a big fan of Ralph Lauren clothing, especially sport coats and button down shirts. I find that the shirts are somewhat fitted so that an XL that fits my shoulders and neck isn't way too big at the waist (34" in my case) unlike most XLs that are shaped like a tent. The same holds true for jackets - a 46 Long typically only needs to be taken in a bit at the waist, and can be worn off the rack in a pinch without making me look like I've been starved for 6 months, or that it was made for a guy who was morbidly obese. Unfortunately I've found that the fabric and construction of items in their Outlet Stores are not the same quality as regular Polo products. If you look closely they're not even the same 'model' or item number even though they look the same. They are probably a good value proposition in the same way a Chevy gives you 80% of the content of a Cadillac for 50% of the price, but if you intend to wear your clothes for a long time, you'll probably appreciate the 'real' thing. That said, this particular location was exceptionally clean and the clothing was well presented. The staff were all helpful and courteous as well, so you can't go wrong if you're comfortable with slightly less...
