Miyako’s, a long-time favorite, has fallen short of our expectations. Tonight, when we arrived, we were the only customers at the tables, while everyone else sat at the bar. After a five-minute wait, our waitress finally arrived and took our order. It took another ten minutes for our drinks, soup, and salad to arrive. Despite our presence, our waitress never came to check on us.
As time went on, there were more people dining in on the sushi side. She passed us multiple times for other customers and had to be chased after. At our thirty-minute wait, I decided to approach the waitress and ask if we could simply pay for my husband’s pop and leave.
To our dismay, a group that arrived much later received their food before we did. Even then, she acknowledged that they had their food before us and stated that the chef was dressing our sushi rolls with sauce. We saw our plate sitting there for fifteen minutes already.
I should have trusted my instincts and spoken with a manager, paid for my husband’s pop, and just left. Instead, I decided to be polite. As she brought our food, she apologized and said that the chef was new. She never even bothered to inform us about the status of our order or check on it. No accountability for herself.
The worst part was the sushi. My favorite roll there, the yum yum roll, was ruined because of how loose and skinny the rolls were. Each time I tried to grab a piece, it fell apart.
Overall, Miyako’s has lost a customer. I would rate it a -100000/10 and would not recommend it to anyone. Take your...
Read moreToday I ate here for the first time with my family and I must say I'm a little underwhelmed. The experience probably was the best part for my children who are twins 7, a 6-year-old and a 16 year old including myself whose birthday is today 35. Watching them cook in front of us was very fun and entertaining however the food was very lacking. Everything tasted like the same seasonings almost and for the price I felt like the quality just wasn't really there. For us five our bill was $150 and nobody really wanted leftovers to even take home because it was really lacking in the variety of flavors within our dishes. I was really underwhelmed even our lobster tail was not juicy with butter garlic like the menu described it was pretty dry and just salt flavored the best thing on the menu if you just want to go for the experience probably would be the chicken and shrimp. I would just keep it simple and enjoy the experience because the food is really not that great to me even the noodles and the rice had the same flavor like I would have thought maybe they could have did one sweet and one salty but it was just too much salt overtake for me. also with the party of five I was automatically charged at gratuity which I felt was kind of rude seeing as the party of five was with three small children but it is what it is and I probably will never eat at Miyako's again not because of bad service just the food quality to price is just not good it is highly overrated not enough flavor...
Read moreHello, this was my first time dinning here and I was expecting to be similar than other hibachi restaurants but I understand that every one has its own style and food seasoning and in this case it was "way too much soy sauce" resulting in a salty taste on the fried rice, veggies and the chicken. Staff was in a rush and when I was just starting to eat my food, she brought me the bill, and I put it aside while eating, 5 min later she came back and ask me if I was ready to pay, so I had to pay and then keep eating, but moments later she brought boxes for everyone on the table, so we had to pack and took it home. That means that after the chef left the table, we got about 10 min to pay and eat before the food boxes arrived.
Be careful!" When it's time to pay, they already included the tip or gratuity automatically in the bill but then they bring the credit card slip to sign and include the tip space again. So if you don't check the amounts on the bill, you will end up paying double tip, that it it exactly what happened to me. I didn't notice until got home, they charged me 36.00 gratuity on the bill and I put 40.00 tip on the credit card slip so I end up giving 76.00 tip. I called next morning and manager told me there are not refunds but promised me to give me a 40 dollar credit for next time eating there......wait what? And when do we plan to come back for dinner here again, who knows.....
Good luck, be careful when pay and...
