I placed an online order using a promo code to try the Metabolic smoothie from the Secret Menu. According to the menu, it includes banana, pineapple, coconut water, lemon juice, ginger, green apple, cayenne, kale, and spinach.
Shortly after ordering, my friend (who was picking it up) called to say the location was out of pineapple. The store offered blueberries or strawberries instead—odd choices considering this smoothie includes cayenne. I asked for mango as a substitute (a better match), but they didn’t have that either. With no good options and trying to think fast, I said cucumber.
Unfortunately, the final drink was awful. I tried to drink it but had to throw it out. This was disappointing and frustrating—especially because I ordered this smoothie for a health boost on a day I wasn’t feeling well and still had to work.
There was no alert during online ordering that pineapple was out of stock. No one from the store contacted me, even though my number was attached to the order. I’ve never had a Beyond Juice smoothie that I couldn’t finish—until now.
This isn’t about the flavor being off—it’s about a lack of communication and proper substitution protocol for a premium-priced product. I expect better...
Read moreI was walking by the store and saw a breakfast grilled cheese with avocado, bacon and egg advertised. It looked good so I walked in order it. I specifically asked if they were still serving it (it was lunch time so I wasnt sure). The cashier said yes, so I ordered that and a cup of water and waited for my items. They called my name and handed me a bag and walked away. I didn't get my cup of water and couldn't get any of the 5 employees behind the counter to acknowledge me to ask for a cup.. it's free so no big deal.. I walked away.
But then.. I opened the wrapper for my sandwich only to find a completely normal grilled cheese sandwich.. no egg, no avocado, no bacon. I was going to go back and have it remade but when I pulled up the receipt that was texted to me, it did show just a regular sandwich. I ONLY asked about the breakfast grilled cheese, so there should have been no confusion.
