I am done with this place. I know people are going to think I am crazy, but if you are white, they discriminate against you. If a tag is crooked, ripped, or loose they take the thing away from you and will not let you buy it and tell you to come back tomorrow and buy it. If you go back, then they don't know where it is. And today I was there looking for a chair, they were all over priced, so I tried to buy a sweater, the woman walked away with it and came back and told me that the manager said the price tag was changed and I could not buy it. I was so embarrassed, I feel like they were accusing me of doing it in front of all of the other customers. I asked to talk to the manager. When she came to the counter she said she marked the sweater and knows that was not the price and SOMEONE (she emphasized) changed the tag. I told her I did not and that I should be able to buy things at the price I find on them. She told me QUOTE "This is my property and I can choose what price it sells for." I asked for her name 3 times, she finally said it was Paula, but I wonder if that is true. She then took a picture of me with her phone!!! This is not the first encounter I had with her. She is a horrible person. But if her spanish speaking friends are at the counter with a price tag in their hand or not tag at all, she has nor problem selling to them. I saw her just put something in someone's bag with out charging them! She clearly has a problem with non spanish speaking people. Who can I...
Read moreI love thrifting and this experience changed it for me. Me and my mom went thrifting at this facility. While checking out the cashier was taking the price tags off my items to tell me the tags were wrong and how they were a higher price. She said she marked the items and knows that was not the price and SOMEONE changed the tag. The price dramatically doubled. My mom was checking out after me and the cashier proceeded to do the same thing to her! We called to speak to the manager. Along with the cashier saying the same thing as the cashier stating since she knew all the prices for every item she priced. I was so embarrassed, I feel like they were accusing us of doing it in front of all of the other customers. It was humiliating the accusations the cashier and manager were insinuating. Now my mom is crying in the car! What they did to us was wrong and humiliating! With being part of a military community SHAME ON YOUR EMPLOYEES for the unprofessional conduct! What a complete disappointment! Call me crazy but I felt we were...
Read moreThe entire staff of the Salvation Army Resale Store in Montgomery is extremely rude. Every time that I go there, I am treated with not only rudeness, but outright hostility from the employees. Today, May 11th, 2015, was the worst shopping experience that I have had, ever. The entire staff , from the manager down, needs to be completely retrained in customer service. It is NOT acceptable, for employees to exhibit such an extreme level of rudeness, and incivility to the customers. As a customer, I want to exchange my money for the items for sale. Do not be rude, and curse at me, I just want to pay for my items, and be on my way as quickly as possible. If there is drama at the place of business, please keep it to yourselves. Do not take out your bad day on the customers, that is fatal to the business, as poorly treated customers do...
