First off, this location does not even deserve the one star I am giving it today. I recently went in to buy a new sofa for my living area. The in-store experience was ok–my horror story begins at the delivery stage of my purchase. Two delivery men arrived to my home without boot covers (and I should mention that there was snow outside and the ground was muddy and wet). I had to ask them if they needed boot covers and they took the ones that I provided them. Imagine if they didn't have any on? They would've stained my carpet with their wet shoes–just the thought of this gives me chills. Next, these men bring in the couch which is only half covered with a tarp. The other ends of the two sofas were left exposed. Once they set the sofa down, I immediately noticed the wooden border was chipped in various places. They said someone could come out and cover it up for me (please see photos attached). However, they failed to mention that in moving the furniture they completely dirtied the edge of one of the couches. It was completely scuffed– it looked as though I'd had these couches for years. Additionally, the seam in one of the cushions was not sewn all the way and the inside materials were poking through the surface (see photo attached). I was absolutely horrified when they left and very upset that I waited two weeks for these couches just so they could arrive damaged and filthy. Oh, but it doesn't end there, upon leaving the delivery men asked me if they could keep the boot covers. Obviously, I let them keep them, but the fact that these deliverymen do not carry these items is beyond ridiculous. I can't imagine how many houses they walk into with their dirty shoes dripping mud and water all over the house. Moreover, when I called to resolve the issue customer service was not apologetic at all. The Manager could care less and merely offered to pick up the couch and send me another. However, I was not going to go through the same process again. Fortunately, I was able to get a refund on my purchase and the couches were taken away. What really bothers me is the complete waste of time and energy shopping here. Having to wait so long for your furniture only to find that it is damaged is the worst feeling and customer service did not make my experience any better. I received a refund for my purchase but they should have refunded me for the time I expended taking days off from work to (1) go in and make the purchase and (2) wait for the deliverymen to arrive to my home. I urge you to not waste your time here, but if you do, pick up your items yourself. The delivery staff are savages with the furniture.

Tara was pleasant as well as the technician. All while trying to make good on damaged delivered furniture from the Downers Grove store where the delivery guys did not do a walk through making sure furniture was satisfactory and not damaged before leaving. Was told by the tech I would get a phone call in a half hour after them leaving to schedule. I had to call the next day. When I went to the aurora store to exchange items, a saleswoman cut in front of me to take care of her “priority customer” because she was “in a rush and spends a lot of money” there. They tried to make the situation better with apologies and discounting items. The tech came a few days after that on a Saturday and did good work and professional. He agreed 3 items did need to be replaced. So that’s a total of 6 of 9 items ordered damaged in some way. A full week has gone by with no contact from them so, I called the store yesterday. Was told when the tech comes in she would connect with him and review this. I asked should that not have been done that Saturday or following week? Not for me to have to call in a week later to check status and get the same response that tech told me. She added it takes 3-5 days processing time (which had passed already). To add, when the manager is off a conference call she’ll speak with her and phone me back in a half hour. Here I sit 24 hours later with no call or update. Update- When speaking to Tara she tried to replace only 2/3 items and portrayed I agreed. Had to tell her, what does the technician paperwork say needed to be replaced. Was pushed out one day due to that error. Delivery of 3 replacement items...2/3 were scratched or marked up again. Even the delivery guy said better to keep original and added for me to ask to have them inspect before coming! Which Tara assured me as well as corporate would be done. He called office to make aware I’ll need a tech (which came out already on the original pieces) as well as told office replaced items again. Since Tuesday, I still have yet to hear from them. BBB and corporate notified as well as NBC news.

The worst experience I've ever had with a company. The only plus is Trudy, who actually cares about the customers and their experience. My boyfriend and I went in on a Wednesday and fell in love with a table that was in the clearance section. We grabbed an associate, Ed, and asked him what the price was because we were ready to buy the table right then and there. After fumbling around on his tablet for 25 minutes, he told us he didn't know. I then got on my hands and knees and found the item number under the table and asked him if that would help him and he said "Oh yeah, probably" and STILL could not give me a price. He told us he would call us the NEXT DAY after confirming the price of the table with his boss. One week went by and we heard nothing, so I called and asked. Turns out the table was sold without ever notifying us. The cherry on top - they still wanted us to buy the table but at original value. I said that was ridiculous because we were ready to purchase the table that very day and nobody ever called us. Then, when I called to ask about this table, the woman on the phone -Bridgette- gave me some information about a couch I was interested in. I told her I was going to come into the store because I didn't want to do this over the phone. I go into the store the following day and speak with Trudy (The only one who knows what's going on there) and when I'm being rung up for the couch, it shows me that Bridgette put in a FAKE ADDRESS for my account so that she could still gather commission. Trudy was able to get us our discount on the table that we originally should have gotten, and we bought our couch and she made the process very easy. Fast forward 2 weeks and our couch gets delivered in boxes, as we had asked. We were moving to a different state and therefore left them in the protective boxes they came in. Upon unwrapping them, low and behold this place had another surprise for us - a hole in the front of couch. I wish I was kidding. So now because we live in a different state, they can't come out and fix it. I've been calling for 2 weeks trying to get answers and FINALLY someone got back to me. I demanded a refund on this couch or some sort of allowance and I was given $50. They told me that the protective boxes that their furniture comes in can't "guarantee" there won't be damages. To future customers I say please save yourself the money, time and trouble and go somewhere else. To Trudy I say, get out now - you deserve better. As does every customer at this horrible...

If I could give 0 stars I would. I don’t recommend ANYONE purchasing from here. We were supposed to have a delivery for today March 30th. I called the store to check on the delivery since we hadn’t received no text message of a delivery time frame. Sandi picked up the call (she also helped us the day of the purchase & placed the order as well) I told her what was happening & she said “oh I helped you that day” & realized a mess up which on the receipt we have delivery for today 3/30/24. How is she going to tell me that we changed it to April 18th & all she kept saying was “I’m sorry” well her sorry wasn’t helping much. I then got transferred over to Tara the manager (very unprofessional by the way) I once AGAIN explained my situation because Sandi told her nothing & basically just threw me over to her. Tara said that apparently they called us that the date was getting changed to April 18th, that is a complete lie bc we received NOTHING & we were only looking to have it delivered on a Saturday not a WEEKDAY so we would have never made that change. At this point I’m aware of 2 things Sandi telling me that “WE” changed the date & Tara telling me THEY changed it on us obviously without notice. We have no sofas at the moment as we just threw them out yesterday as we were expecting this delivery. The so called manager did absolutely nothing for me, she definitely does not like to help her customers aside from having an attitude. We already got the first months payment & already had to pay without even having the sofas here, how funny is that. Please do not shop here, all they want is your money other than that they simply don’t care about their customers. Update to this review 4/8/24 : Will never shop here again - they changed our delivery date without notice TWICE AGAIN & now expected delivery is not until JUNE this is ridiculous. We just canceled our order & demanded a refund more for the fact of the lack of communication, unprofessional/rude/inattentive staff that we can no longer deal with. Please don’t waste your time with Tara (manager) & Sandi (sales) as they are careless of...
