Mariscos Uruapan — Restaurant in Aurora

Came to this restaurant this Saturday Dec 18th. I was unable to find a parking spot. Security was helpful and said he was moving a truck to make room for additional parking. A blue Chevrolet truck newer model had pulled out and was leaving the parking lot. A woman maybe in her mid 40's steps out of the truck and began yelling for me to move. She began yelling obscenities at me when I exchanged words back to her. Then proceeded to walk in to the restaurant. When I was leaving the restaurant I noticed damage to my vehicle. The front windshield was busted, door mirror was taken. I notified two securities that were patrolling the restaurant. One of the securities was rude and asked me to leave when I told him I was calling the police. I called the restaurant after getting home and spoke with Armando who was awfully rude. I called to find out if they had cameras and to let them know what happened. Not a safe place to go have dinner....

This place is GREAT! I love fish and my husband loves Mexican food so this was a perfect place for us to try for Saturday lunch when we were in the area. First off, the menu is massive; took us 10 min and asking the waiter 3x to come back cuz we were overwhelmed with the choices. We settled on various tacos and they were all fantastic: Baja shrimp, grilled shrimp, fish, and chicharron! The a la carte tacos were reasonably priced, and it’s neat that you can also choose your own type of burrito, torta, some, huarache, quesadilla, and Gordita as well. I almost ordered more tacos since they were soooo good! Even the rice and beans were excellent (normally I don’t even eat the rice and beans cuz they’re bland.) Staff was so polite, professional, and friendly! The decor is delightful. We will be back for sure, especially to try one of the whole fish platters! If you love fish, please...

While searching for a good menudo, I discovered this restaurant. Its convenient location and strong reviews made it an easy choice. My wife and I visited around 7 PM on a quiet Tuesday. The interior was clean and had an atmosphere so authentic that, as two Asians who’ve never been to Mexico, we felt transported there.

Our server, José, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The menudo, rib-eye steak, and dessert we ordered exceeded expectations. Though slightly pricey, portions were generous. We’ll definitely return next time...
