This positive review is for the store manager's, Richard, customer service.
I ordered 2 matching lampshades for same day delivery, and only 1 came. It turns out they only had 1 in stock at this store, but this inventory was inaccurate online.
I called the store and talked to Richard, explaining my dilemma: I had 1 lampshade, and a lamp base without a shade. I paid for shipping so I didn't have to drive to the store, but now that I got 1/2 of my order, I would still need to drive to another store!
I asked him if he could do any of the following. refund my shipping fee Send me another one from a store that does have it in stock, and waive the shipping fee.
Unfortunately, neither of those could work, and I could only: drive to another farther location to get the 2nd lamp shade. return to the store to get the price adjusted for the lampshade I received, minus the shipping price.
I had other obligations later in the day, so I couldn't do any of these options.
But Richard stepped up, offered to drive to the Pflugerville location, and even deliver it my house (on the way back to his home) that same evening. I couldn't believe it. And unfortunately, I wasn't at home (doing other obligations) to really thank him properly.

Read moreI ordered the 20ft penguin online & picked it up in the store. It was a returned item. One anchor is missing, another damaged, & all covered in dirt. I was excited for the giant penguin inflatable, then I couldn’t even set it up because of the condition that I received it. I’m going to have to return it. It’s an inconvenience since I live over a half hour away from the nearest store & rarely travel in that area of Austin. They need to check the state of items returned before reselling them.
UPDATE: This situation continues to get worse.
I was so upset that I just wanted to be done with it. I returned the 20ft inflatable penguin to the store & informed them of the condition that received it.
My boyfriend felt bad because it ruined my Thanksgiving because I couldn’t set it up that day. Getting a giant inflatable penguin for my front yard display was the only thing that made me smile in November after my dog of 14 years died on the 1st of this month.
He decided to order me the penguin & paid extra for it to be delivered the next day.
The order that my boyfriend placed ended up being the exact same 20ft inflatable penguin that I returned. They resold it despite being told by me that it was damaged in the first place.
How many times has this been returned & resold???

Unfortunately, the delivery service that At Home uses for their local deliveries never showed up to pick up and then deliver my order. So, I went to the store the next day to check on "next steps." Brittnee was the floor manager on duty and she took care of everything. She canceled the original order, helped me purchase the coffee table and made sure I could get it in my vehicle without extra help. Then, she re-ordered a sofa I liked better and set up same day delivery. This time, the sofa came as promised within a couple of hours. Nice! If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the 10% Insider Perks coupon couldn't be used on both items like when I originally purchased the two items online. Brittnee did use my Insider Perks birthday coupon, though, on the coffee table, so that kind of made up for it. Brittnee was very patient, professional, and helpful.
