Had the ham and swiss sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, salt and pepper on warm toasty ciabatta bun. I asked for jalapeno but they don't have it. But the do have a hot relish. They told me what hot pepper it was but I can't remember other than I knew I didn't care for it. The sandwich was toasty goodness. The tinny ham went well with the small amount of Swiss cheese they used. Would have liked more. But I could taste it. The sandwich reminded me of a Cuban. This was my first visit. I knew nothing about the place. What drew me inside was the name, Potbelly. I was really looking forward to a good pulled-pork and assumed, in error, that I could satiate my craving. I was quite surprised to discover they do not serve it. My impression from the outside did not coincide with what I found inside. As a Texas, the term potbelly means two things, smoked or BBQ flavored beef and/or pork, and a potbelly stove. They in fact have the later in display, but not even a whiff of the former. I mislead myself jumping to conclusions like that. I did however, enjoy my delicious sandwich. They do have chicken and other proteins, can't remember at the moment, and soups. I recommend that you go and try them. If you like sandwiches. Oh, they do practice CVD19 protocols. I was pleased to see that. Otherwise I would not have...
Read moreAbsolutely horrendous customer service!
When I first arrived I noticed that not a single person was dining in, but there were multiple to-go/uber eats orders. I quickly learned the reason why.
I approached the counter and not a single employee gave a cheerful greeting or anything, not even as much as a head nod in my direction. The gentleman asked what they could start and I told him the sandwich I had picked out (my first time here) and he asked what toppings I wanted. I asked what would people normally get on it and he flatly replied, "You can choose from the list behind me." I had already seen the chalk sign and thought he misunderstood so I asked, "I gotcha, but I've never been here. What do other people normally get?" His response was more annoyed than before and he replied again, "You can choose from the list behind me." So I just randomly picked out what I wanted. Pretty darn rude for an employee if you ask me. There was no thank you when I paid, again nothing at all.
I chose to eat in my vehicle.
I also noticed that the staff here lacked hair restraints of any kind and that a gentleman working behind the counter was sweating profusely while preparing food. Definitely would not recommend...
Read moreThe food at this place is great, hot sandwiches and soups that are tasty and fresh. The service was slow and slightly confusing, kid's meals show cookie and apple sauce as sides but the manager claimed they do not stock applesauce anymore. We got a side of sliced apples from the salad fixing station instead. Separate from that, the menu is confusing, existing in multiple places with different options on each one, the kids is hidden in the corner of the ordering area by the big jar of pickles, not up on the billboard menu. Wife ordered Chicken Enchilada soup, but we received Broccoli Cheddar, this was the 3rd issue and I was done going back up to the counter to have it rectified. One or two, things happen, but at the third incident I was thru and just moving on. All in all, the food is great but service is slow and menu is confusing. On a different note, the men's bathroom was dirty, soap dispenser was empty and there were no paper towels in the place. I would be hesitant to recommend this place to anyone, maybe try it...
