ACL Live had their first annual Community Day where visitors local or tourist could explore the whole facility free of charge. I was a great way to checkout all the seating options and vantage points for your next show here. There is not really a bad seat in the house since reasonably a small venue. There was some freebies for visitors young and old including food and drinks, but could purchase Chick-fil-A sandwiches and chips. There was also a bar open too with live music in the newly built PNC Hall. It was very fun to attend even though been here many times, and the staff were so inviting and friendly.
You were provided with a Passport card to explore the 3TEN, Mezzanine, Balcony, Backstage, PNC Hall and ACL Live Shop where completed can win tickets to a show. You also got your photo taken on a stage setup and could purchase it too.
The Moody Theater is the larger venue at ACL Live complex where the smaller one is called 3TEN. It is the best place to enjoy live music and other performances in Austin were the sound is like a recording studio. The atmosphere is great and has gotten better with the minor renovation to display more musical artifacts on each level.
Parking is not a problem in the Second Street District where most park at the Austin City Hall or make a night by staying next door at the W Austin which also completed a major renovation. If attending a show then recommend arriving early where the Austin traffic seems to be getting worse and after your park walk around before going inside.

Saw Diana Ross and she was great. New changes I noticed was you cannot leave a tab open anymore, only Pepsi products, and some construction going on outside. The staff was very...
Read moreThis review is for ACL live 310 on 2nd Street. What is it with Austin audiences these days? Are they so callous and unentertained that they simply sit through two sets of Flamenco Guitar with incredible dancers, amazing rhythm and just wonderful choreography, without so much as a nod to the musicians or the dancers? The Benise show that I just attended was spectacular for being held in a small venue. Benise and his crew are total professionals who bring a lot of heart and spirit to their shows, but you couldn’t tell if you based it on audience reaction alone. I’ve never seen a stiffer frozen bunch of bananas in my entire life. Is this what Austin has become? People are just too cool to applaud and receive an artist who is literally playing his heart out for them? It’s just ridiculous. Ludicrous in fact. It’s a very intimate venue with the artist literally right in your face no matter where you’re sitting or standing. I don’t know. Maybe it was just an off night for the audience, but I’ve never seen a less enthused group of people in my life. And the music was absolutely incredible. In fact, it was so good that we will definitely see Benise again. I hope he returns to Austin. At this point, I don’t think he has...
Read moreI attended a concert here August 30, and while waiting in the line to enter, a security lady (towards the back of the line) informed us all that we will be approaching a bag check, I am hearing impaired so I couldn’t hear her 100%, but the guests I was with informed me what was said. When I turned the corner, bag check was right there, I didn’t expect it to be so close so I held up the line a little bit, again, I am hearing impaired. The security then said “I just made an announcement about that yall don’t listen” and I said “I’m sorry, I didn’t know I was so close” and she said “yeah Oka, yall just don’t listen, I said it multiple times,” and had me crying before the concert even started. Not only did she hurt my feelings, but is judging someone before knowing anything. She’s lucky I didn’t want to get kicked out of the concert cause my ears don’t work but my hands do. She’s a tall, dark haired, very pretty security guard. Right before baggage check in the little hallway right up the stairs. I hope no one else with disabilities has to experience something like this. And I hope she has the proper actions taken against her. I am so hurt, and embarrassed. To call someone with a disability out in a...
