Couch Potatoes Furniture Store - North Austin — Attraction in Austin

Update 2/4/2025: After Brian responded to my review, thank you! The team called and said they reached to the vendor and only 2 out of the 4 pieces arrived, and the rest will come by end of January. They were not accommodating to deliver g booked out for the week, don’t deliver on Mondays etc reasons were given) those two pieces immediately, rather delayed me another week, anyway, at this point I just set happy I received them.

As of today 2/4/25, Its the same situation again, no update on the remaining 2 pieces, no call or message or follow up from Zach or team. I called texted and tried every possible way and all I hear is zach is out sick and dontknow when he will return and there is no one above him to follow up with vendor( this message also I received after multiple calls and VMs)

At this point I have been paying for the furniture since December and I dont even have them delivered or have a delivery date.

Can someone higher up from this company please help me?

Worst management. They promise you a delivery date and cannot make it happen- they dont have control or any contacts with their vendors and they dont even call you back to inform there are delays. We ordered back in November and the manager Zach and Sales Lily, promised it will get delivered by Thanksgiving. This was the only reason we ordered with them. Its almost end of January and no updates from couch potatoes and they have no control on their vendors - “they are small company” is what I get from them. I had such a wonderful shopping and buying experience with Austin Couch Potatoes. I went to 2 of their locations over the weekend after my friend suggested them and received amazing help from their sales department at both locations, (Jacob at their North Lamar location and Baudy at this North Austin location). The North Austin location is where they handcraft / create your custom couch and has a bigger space with more floor models to try out. I went to that location twice where Baudy helped me both days. Not only was he extremely patient and knowledgeable in helping me reach my final decision, but he went above and beyond in every way to make the buying process comfortable and pressure-free. I’m so appreciative of this kind of help for more expensive furniture purchases, and could not be more excited to receive my custom couch designed specifically for my space! I shopped around at multiple other furniture stores as well before deciding on Austin Couch Potatoes - but ultimately with their 4 year damage / protection warranty and complete customization options both in terms of structure as well as fabrics made this a quick and easy choice for me. It is so nice to have peace of mind knowing I’m covered if any damage happens to the couch (not to mention if you don’t use the warranty, you get that amount back at the end of 4 years in store credit)! Very disappointed with the service - we ordered a bedroom set in November 2024 and as of February 1st we don’t even have an update on when our delivery will be here. One or two pieces are coming every month, when, and only when, we followed up with Couch potatoes from our end. Never have we received any update from Couch potatoes on the delivery without us pestering them for at least 2 weeks. We are fed up and keep getting information that the manager - Zach is out or sick or not available, and there’s no one that they have to fill his shoes. As a customer - I do not have everything I ordered, yet I am paying for it. I placed the order with Couch potatoes - and it is their responsibility to follow up with their vendors and ensure the delivery is done promptly. They DO NOT have good customer service cuz no one follows up. No one gives a call back. They DO NOT take responsibility of their orders. They DO NOT have a check on their vendors. Hence, DO NOT recommend placing an order with Couch potatoes if you ever wanted something soon. If a timely delivery is what you want - go for a reputed established store - NOT...
