Loaned a laptop to a friend who's desktop was having issues. Keep in mind ive had this laptop for a while so its not in peak condition. But I have made all repairs and upgrades to this laptop myself. My friend took it to this shop because I didnt have the time to look at it and figured it would be faster. It was a rush job, misplaced screws all over, one of which was too long and was causing a short on the board. Broken pieces on the case that hold the screw anchors so there are several endless spinning screws. The rubber cup for the spacebar was ripped off... so now the spacebar cannot be used.

I wish you would take the time and care on EVERY computer that comes through your shop. The haphazard way my laptop was handled is very disheartening seeing all these 5 star reviews, I wonder how many people have got the same service but dont have the technical know how, to keep you honest. I left a nice statement about this shop owner doing a good deed and I thank him . That was nice. But I want to also say that I know that if I buy something new I expect it to be new. if a shop or store is saying that they are putting new equipment in the PC install. If they are putting refurbished equipment I would want to know before hand hey we have refurbished equipment at a cheaper price. If I open the box and it has a refurbished sticker inside or someone left half of the yellow sticker on I would not appreciate that. People can tell if a product shows signs of use its not new. Myself personally all I want is to be be shown or told the truth and I can decide. I understand shops may use refurbished equipment. But in my book refurbished is refurbished. I have bought refurbished equipment and I still use it years later. I don't know the BBB rule but I do know I would want to know. I wish you well God bless your shop sir and good luck. Seemed like a good computer shop but my experience was much less than good. I came here to get one pdf tax file off an old laptop that wouldn't boot up. I had already gotten all other data off myself before it crashed, and only needed my 1040 from last yrs taxes. I was told it was 135$ to get anything off of it. Fine no problem, only they couldn't find it, let alone get me the file. I dont know a whole lot about computers but I know this file was saved on that computer as a pdf file along with 10 yrs of other tax files, none of which they could find or recover. Seems like old tax files would be something fairly common to have to recover but they seemed to have no idea how to find or recover it. I was told the owner would contact me about this since I was unhappy to pay full price to recover NOTHING. If I had to tell a customer at my work I could NOT do the work, I would charge them nothing, not that I expected nothing, they did try.
