As a nearby resident of Baltimore and an avid lover of parks, I couldn't help but share my love for Latrobe Park, a true gem nestled in the heart of the Locust Point neighborhood. This beautiful park offers an array of recreational activities and community events that cater to visitors of all ages, making it the perfect destination for families and friends to gather and enjoy the outdoors.

One of the standout features of Latrobe Park is its multiple playgrounds, designed with children's safety and enjoyment in mind. The variety of play structures ensures that kids of all ages and abilities can have fun, while parents can relax and watch their little ones explore and make new friends. The park's well-maintained tennis and basketball courts provide excellent opportunities for friendly competition and exercise, attracting both casual players and serious athletes.

For those who prefer a more laid-back experience, the park offers an extensive network of walking trails that weave through the lush greenery. The serene atmosphere and ample seating areas make Latrobe Park an ideal location for picnics, reading, or simply basking in the sun.

The football field, with its artificial turf and modern amenities, is another fantastic feature that contributes to Latrobe Park's appeal. This versatile space hosts local sports teams and is also perfect for pick-up games or tossing a Frisbee around with friends.

But Latrobe Park is more than just a collection of recreational facilities; it is a vibrant community hub that brings people together through various events throughout the year. From what I have seen, these events range from outdoor movie nights and live music performances to yoga classes and art workshops. The involvement of local vendors adds a unique touch, providing visitors with a taste of Baltimore's diverse food and artisan scene.

The dedicated team of volunteers and park staff work tirelessly to maintain the park's cleanliness and keep it safe for all visitors. Their efforts have transformed Latrobe Park into a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come together and enjoy the best that Baltimore has to offer.

In conclusion, Latrobe Park is a true asset to the Locust Point neighborhood and the city of Baltimore as a whole. Its combination of recreational facilities, community events, and beautiful scenery make it a must-visit destination for residents and tourists alike. If you haven't already, I highly recommend taking the time to explore this wonderful park and experiencing its many charms...

We recently travelled to Banner Field "Home of the Brave" at Latrobe Park for a U16 soccer game. The park is nestled in an older-established-quiet location in Baltimore. The park itself is well shaded with many benches. In addition to the single turf field, there are nearby basketball courts and places for group picnics. The turf field, sponsored by Under Armour as a friendly local told us, is AWESOME (markings, quality, etc.)! There are team benches on the players side and seating on the fan side (but not in shade). While there is a sign stating no furniture on the field itself, we did see the home team in the following game setting up a tent on the players side to provide shade. The field location is conveniently not too far off of the highway. Note, Waze direct on a residential side road completely opposite of where the parking lot is for Latrobe Park, but that was OK as we found parking on it. My only complaint is the building with restrooms wasn't open, although there was one very clean porta...

Great turf field with lights in southern Baltimore. Has benches for teams on one side and a small stands area for fans/family/friends/players on the other. There is a bathroom in the adjacent shelter right there, however it seems to usually be locked when I'm there, even though the fields are permitted (at night so perhaps that's why?). Overall great field and location. Easy to access off of 95.

Updating review just to say that the little parking lot next to the turf fields has had recent ongoing issues with cars getting broken into at night. There are train tracks near the field and the train is loud when it crosses, so I think windows get broken while the train horn is blown. Police are aware of the break-ins, but it has happened repeatedly all the same. Just use caution if parking...
