Six months ago I was on the all too common path from 3 sport athlete to an out of shape 9-5 office worker. I was still lifting and doing cardio at the gym, but my motivation levels were inconsistent, and my training regimen was stale. One day in May, my wife and I made the decision to “mix up” our workouts by trying a free week at Reflex Functional Fitness. After our first workout, we were hooked. The trainers - Reese, Tim and Amanda - do a great job of putting together a challenging variety of classes and pushing clients to perform at their highest levels. Rather than going through the motions of my same old workout routine at the gym, I was moving like an athlete again - doing sprints, lateral slides, ladder drills, squat jumps, and even learning new skills, like boxing, on a consistent basis. Six months later, I look and feel like an athlete again – working out at Reflex has put me back on the path to a healthy lifestyle.
One last thing – IF you are purely looking at the cost of prospective gyms, try thinking of it on a “per workout” basis. For instance, when I was working out at my old gym, my inconsistent motivation levels led me to only get there 3 times a week MAX. At Reflex, I look forward to my workouts each day and consistently get in 5-6 per week. Even though the monthly rate is slightly higher at Reflex than my old gym, I am actually paying 25% LESS per workout to get much better results.

I have gone through several serious health issues and working with Reese, Amanda, and Jenn has helped me to regain the strength that I had lost, including cognitively.
I absolutely enjoy the fun and easy atmosphere of Reflex, while Reese keeps the exercises brisk and focused. I laugh even as I work hard to learn, master, and perform the challenging and effective workouts he creates.
His teaching skills are great. He demonstrates each routine and repeats the instructions for those of us who may need extra help.
Alongside Reese as instructors are Amanda Ashe and Jenn Cornish. These women are phenomenal, I am so glad to see them inspire and lead the classes.

The coaches are fantastic and truly encourage you to get the workouts done at your level. It’s reasonably priced, has plenty of classses scheduled throughout the day, and at a very convenient location. If you’re looking for a great gym look no further!
2024 Update: My opinion has not changed. The classes and the coaches are fantastic, all levels of fitness are welcome. You’re encouraged to do your best but also take breaks and go at your pace when needed. They have class pack options for those who may not reap the full benefits of the unlimited membership.
