4th Visit, Pickup, SEP 16, 2022 pass the gate with DL —- check-in with submit a form at the office —- get a document of the freight, a tag of windshield, & a tag for electric line —- drop the trailer, clean inside, slide tandem, put the document of freight inside of the trailer, and hang the tag on electric connector —- stick the numbered tag on windshield & park in staging area —- wait for loading (jockey takes care) —- get the document from the jockey —- turn the document and tags to the office —- get a paperwork (BOL)

  • do not stop at the gate for cruise but go forward to the gate for trucks.
  • need to drop the trailer and wait long if you don’t have a TWIC card
  • not too bad overall

2nd Visit, AUG 11, 2022 pass the gate with DL —- park the truck in staging area —- slide tandem & clean the trailer inside —- check-in at the office with a form —- get out of the port (early check-in not available) —- come back again an hour before the appointment time —- get a pass & park the truck again —- check-in & take a paperwork & tags —- drop the trailer —- put the paperwork inside of the trailer & close doors —- put the green tag to electric connector —- put the number tag on windshield —- wait for the trailer coming back —- check-out at the office with documents & tags —- get a BOL & out of the port

  • early check-in not available
  • overnight parking not available
  • ridiculous...

Parking is next to the terminal and is reasonable at 15$ per day. You don't need to make reservation and pay onsite at the booth by credit and debit card only. Considering that it is next to the terminal, this daily charge is not too much. Parking lot is fenced, but of course if anything is lost, there is no liability to the parking lot.

Staff is very nice. Customs are quick. Plenty of check in counter. Walking to and back from the cruise ship is reasonable.

Any non-US cruise boat leaves a US port has to travel to a foreign port before coming back to a US port. So you have to go through the Customs. Just remember: no water, no fruit, no vegetable, no meet, no fire arms, no weapon, etc.

If you ask why no bigger cruise boat can dock at this Baltimore Cruise Port, the reason is that to get in/out from Atlantic Ocean, the cruise boat needs to pass several bridge. It is unlikely the existing bridge will be replaced soon, so that no bigger boat can dock currently...

Best cruise terminal on the east coast. Very efficient in and out. Lots of help outside and inside. Parking in a paid parking lot can take up to one hour, if you arrive at the peak time, since you pay for parking going into the lot. If you get a ride to the terminal porters are awaiting in front to take your luggage. Within 30 minutes or less you are through customs and on the ship! Just as fast getting off the ship. Between the terminal and the parking lot is a trailer and bathrooms to use while you are waiting for your ride or just use the bathroom before or after getting on the ship. There are also bathrooms in the terminal at the front left side. There are plenty of super nice and helpful parking and terminal workers to assist with directions, etc. This place is highly organized, clean and traveler friendly. Carnival Cruise Lines and Customs also fall in this same friendly category. This terminal in Baltimore does it right and is also handicap and disabled...

Disembarking was a breeze as they have facial recognition. You practically just walk through. Where taxis are located could be more clearly marked, and there is no expeditor. Also rate is a set $30 to the airport. First taxi I approached quoted $50. When I questioned him he said take it or leave it...than as I started to take Pic of cab #, he drove off. Next cubbie quoted $30..I tipped him $10. Having somewhere in charge would prevent this .so beware
