Samos Greek Island Grill was a great find for Greek-style food. The interior was clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus.
We ordered the Vegetarian Moussaka platter, which came with a side—we chose the Greek Fries. The Moussaka was like a Greek-style lasagna layered with eggplant, potato, and topped with creamy ricotta. It also came with four small slices of pita, which were nice to pair with the dish. We were a little skeptical at first (especially since there weren’t photos), but it turned out to be really satisfying.
The Greek Fries were a standout—crispy, seasoned well, and topped with feta that was incredibly smooth and flavorful, better than most I’ve had elsewhere. Highly recommend getting them as your side!
There are a lot of other options available, too—check out the attached menus for details and prices. I’d definitely come back to try more dishes. A great spot for casual Greek food that delivers more than you...
Read moreDuring the pandemic, Samos has become one of our favorite restaurants for takeout. We haven't ordered too many different items off the menu because the gyro platter is SO GOOD. AND IT IS DELICIOUS. I cannot emphasize that enough.
The few other things we have tried (veggie moussaka, spicy feta dip, lamb wrap) have also all been very tasty! I think anything on their menu is worth trying. But if you're looking for a meal for two that's filling, affordable, and delicious, try one of...
Read moreI ordered a steak platter (and added chicken) and chose rice and salad as my sides. My total was $18+.
Pros: -the chicken was good
Cons: -the steak was over cooked and tough -the rice is “rice pilaf”. It was disgusting. I was expecting white rice but still have it a chance. It was NOT good. -My salad had maybe three bits of lettuce on it -I asked for a water cup with a lid because I had to take the food as carry out. I was told I couldn’t have a cup that came with a lid because they inventoried them. Note: it was a plastic cup. So I got a tiny plastic cup with no lid that apparently isn’t inventoried?
This experience was not worth $18. I will not...
