I went into lightrx last Tuesday in Hoffman Estates for a consultation one mainly because they're offering 60% off of their packages along with $250 off of signing up via email. I'm met with a very nice lady named Maggie she was the manager of the Hoffman Estate location the price that they quoted me I thought was a little high but I was going to talk to my husband Maggie stressed that I needed to secure everything today because I may lose the 60% off by tomorrow so she encouraged me to give her my credit card information and that she promised that she would not run my credit card until I called her back with my husband's final decision providing I called her back before 7 p.m. due to the fact of me trying to call him while I was in the office he did not answer due to him being at work. I called back informing them my husband's decision that it was just too much money and that please do not run my credit card to my surprise my credit card was already ran through. I called the location a few times and spoke to another assistant named Lindsay I was printed off an invoice stating that I made payment and Lindsay handwritten on the invoice that the packag was canceled per client and that all of my money was going to be refunded back to my Visa. I called Maggie back Wednesday morning and she assured me that my money would be back on my card by Friday March 2nd, and here we are today Monday and my $1120.00 still has not been put back on my card. I just called and spoke with Maggie and she informed me now it's out of her hands and it's corporate who's taking care of it and she's offering me free services. Frankly I don't want free services I just want my money back that lightrx has taken from me and my family I trusted Maggie with my credit card information that she was going to run it only with my husband's approval but they still ran it anyways they are thieves with a nice store front.
Review Update: This is an update to the review I wrote on 3/6/2018. I finally received my refund on 3/8 which it thw money should have NEVER BEEN REMOVED from my account in the 1st place let alone taking over 10 days to receive it when I was promised it would be in my account by that Friday March 2nd. When I was not successful nor happy with the response regarding my refund after spearing to Maggie at Light rx in Hoffman estates she expressed that my refund is now in corporate hands and it was out of her hands I was unsuccessful at contacting corporate until I wrote a review on Google, Yelp and submitted a claim on the Better Business Bureau website was when I was successful received a response back from corporate on 3/7 and my money was refunded back to my account on 3/8. I took 2 Tylenol before the treatment and still was not able to tolerate the pain, when I asked what intensity r u giving me laser as I'm nurse practitioner knowing how severe the pain was, they denied to share and said they cn not share the information about it .it's like going to doctor but no right to know about treatment. I developed bruise from laser and severe sensitivity that I could not tolerate the computer energy on my face, which they advswrtise no downfall no pain. They told me that they will use neoelite which is painless. They gave me buy one get one free 8 sessions for laser rx, every session they said intensity of laser will be increased and by 3rd session even after taking 2 Tylenol when I did not tolerate I started doing some more research. I doubted their type of laser they were using and looked for review, they don't have a single review for pigmentation, when I questioned and asked to discontinue treatment they asked me to wait for regional manager call. They ignored my call and texts for 3 months by Elle and reginal manager. When I texted manager Nicole that it's very unprofessional not taking call or replying to text for these many months, manager called and said one sentence straight withought asking problem, alternative, that "you will not get refund as I have used all session of package" where as Elle the site manager kept on saying that I have not used full session and taken full treatment she can not do much about it. When I went there first day they created wonderful environment as of I was being consulted by dermatologist, full privacy, looking st my skin and Elle and Desi discussing which treatment will go better for her skin? Elle said, " you will be getting treatment by only Desi who is very experienced ".... this all marketing strategies make you feel that these people are professional, experienced and well trained....yaa sure in marketing! I really had very bad experience.. It's request to u all, be mindful of buying packages..look for real review for brightening and pigmentation treatment not the picture that they show you provided from the company that they use for advertising. Please get treatment from dermatologist not from these type of salon where there not licensed staff. Please please take a look for review for pigmentation on their fb, insta or website, not a single review, i came to know this very late. I lost my money, not 10% changes in skin, used only 3 session out of 8 leaving my skin sensitive!! Read moreThe tone and behavior of one of the staff member was not appropriate. I would term that aggressive, in sensitive and mean way to talk to the clients. Unfortunately It was my only 2nd appt and I have paid so much upfront else I would not prefer to continue there. I would not recommend this place if you like peace in your life. As I got back home and read through the reviews on yelp, I do see similar feedback/experience from others. I went to them as per the recommendation from a friend and actually didn't read through the reviews before. I know we always think that, this cannot happen to me and you dont know both side of the story and ignore the reviews. But it can happen with anybody if the problem is in their system. I was 10 mins late for the appts because of peek 5 p.m office hours traffic and they were so loud and mean from the beginning of the conversation and wanted me to come back to other day. I said sure I will come back other day however you have to make sure then that other day and in future, you don't make me wait 10 mins and I promise to be here 5 mins early for the appointment. I also work and my time is equally important. However, We are all human, 5-10 mins buffer time is always allowed for the unsupported circumstances however if you want to firm on that then be that with everyone, if your time is imp so as the clients time. Rules should be same for everyone. Moreover if you had the extremely busy or unusual day then you have to talk politely. Other person also had to drive far to get there for their appointment.
