My husband and I are so happy with the service we received for our son's 2nd birthday. We called a few weeks ago and spoke to Ben (the manager) to ask about the party menu and making reservations for a group of 20+. Ben was very willing to accommodate our party even though they didn't take reservations, and we were unsure if we were going to have a minimum of 25 people in order to do the party menu. He said that he would make it work and for us to call him at least one and a half hours prior to our time. Fast forward to today, we got done with visiting the Volo Museum earlier than we expected. My husband called to ask if there was any chance we could come in an hour early, and yet again, they were accommodating and agreeable. Our server was Jen. We mentioned that we only had 20 guests in our party, and she said that it should be fine to order from the party menu. Ben came out to greet us and was transparent by explaining what we would be getting and the price per person. We ordered the hat trick, which included a tray of salad, an appetizer, and unlimited 2 topping pizzas (drinks were included). Ben recommended getting three different appetizers that would be split between our group so that we had options. We ordered the mini burgers, cheese curds, and beer nuggets (which were all very delicious!). They also threw in chicken tenders for "our patience" even though we felt like we were demanding a lot. We ended up only ordering three pizzas because everyone was so full from the apps. Overall, we could not be happier than how everything turned out. The service from the very beginning when we first called up until we left was honestly one of the best we have received. Jen is an amazing server who was handling all of her tables, including ours, without any issues. Ben was also amazing as he helped bring out the food and checked on other patrons. You can definitely tell these two take pride in what they do. We will definitely continue to come back as long as they are both there, and the service continues to be top-notch. Thank you, Rookies, for making all of our dining experiences a positive one but a special thanks for making this one extra special by going above and beyond. With that being said, if you haven't already tried out Rookies, you...
Read moreWell since you asked! A friend and I were guests at a UFC event and purchased 2 rounds of drinks, and some food. Wouldn't you know it... I was charged over $150.00 Instead of addressing it during the busy hour like a gentleman shouldn't, I decided to call the next when It was a little less BUSY. I spoke to a " Floor Manager " that emphasized he was UNDER staffed and had several call offs that he couldn't pull my receipt to address the over charge! Well, Instead of being the passive Mr. FOOD REVIEW Man that I am, I explained as a CUSTOMER I was over charged significantly and need this to be resolved. Welp, Gosh I got the apology after apology after apology from the under staffed Gentleman and promised a call back to Rectify the problem. When I did receive a call back Wouldn't you know? I WAS CHARGED FOR A PARTY OF 6 ( UP CHARGED) When it we just 2 people. In fact, he claimed he pulled the camera and saw EVERYTHING, yet... didn't have full access to the camera until the " Owner " which I assume to be the person with the professional response to my 1 star to return to work Monday and we can resolve the problem. Never received a call no Fs given on your end and that's the REASON for the 1 star review. The lack of professionalism speaks volumes not just by your untrained staff, understaffed management, and your lack of interest in resolving an overcharge on my bill as a customer. There is your...
Read moreIf you order draft beer make sure you aren't being overcharged. They sold and charged us for 23 ounce draft beer and served it in a 16 ounce pint glass. Contact the Village of Hoffman Estates if this happens to you.
We ordered draft beers and when the bill came they were listed as 23 ounces. The issue is they were served in a 16 ounce pint glass. When we brought this to the attention of the server she would only say this was the bigger glass.
The GM then came to the table and when we relayed the issue to him he went and stared at the menu on the wall like he was unfamiliar with his own pricing. He came back and offered us $1 off per drink and blamed the issue on his beverage distributor. To my knowledge beverage distributors don't set an establishment's pricing.
The GM refused to acknowledge the actual issue and refused to bring out a "23 ounce glass" for comparison purposes. He then said he worked for Sears for 20 plus years and knew what customer service was, made multiple obscene gestures towards me and said "Get the f#@$ out of here!".
I went to take my tip off the table before leaving as I certainly was not going to tip for the experience I received and the GM physically grabbed it out of my hand. After shouting at me that I had to pay my bill I had to explain I had already paid and that was my tip before he would give me back my money. The GM was...
