This location is not good. My husband had surgery and we made the MISTAKE of choosing this location to fill his prescriptions. Issue #1-I was told all his meds were filled. I paid and started to leave when I decided to check what I received against the doctor’s list. One medication was missing. When I went back to the counter the tech told me that medication would not arrive until 3 days later. When I asked if another CVS had the medication I was told I would have to call around and find out myself. Really? Aren’t all the locations on the same system? Issue #2 - I called another location (Rte 440) in the same town and they had the medication and that I could pick it up in an hour. They needed that time to fill the prescription and switch the pickup location to the 440 store. (So, they DO seem to be in the same system for that?) I leave my house to run a quick errand and while I’m out the CVS at this location calls and says that my husband’s doctor never called in the prescription and that they DO have it in stock. Not convinced, I went to the Rte 440 store and, as that location promised, I picked up the medication. Issue #3 - my husband’s PT noticed a discrepancy between the doctor’s prescribed instructions and what the pharmacy filled. When I called the pharmacy they confirmed that they not only gave the wrong instructions, but the gave my husband fewer than prescribed medications for all but one of his medications. What is wrong with this location? That means three different individuals in this location gave me wrong information. The worst was the incorrect instructions. I mean, now you could be screwing with a person’s life. CVS corporate needs to send a QA team to this...
Read moreThey’re liars. They always tell you the doctors office didn’t call in a prescription, even when they do. Today my doctor called in a specific prescription after CVS took it upon themselves to change the dosage of my medicine without doctor’s approval or asking me. They told me the doctor called in a different prescription than what he said, though I had just left the doctors office two hours prior. The pharmacist went back and forth with me, basically telling me I was lying. She told me she’d call the doctor and for me to wait. While I was waiting, I called the doctor myself to confirm with them what was called in. Two different people confirmed that I was right, so I went back up to the pharmacist. She told me that the doctor didn’t answer, which was a lie. She never called them. They were also calling CVS and no one picked up. After they proved that I was right, she then said that my insurance doesn’t cover the pill, which I’m skeptical of. While I was there two other women actually came in complaining that CVS didn’t do what they were told to/what they said they were going to do. I hate this pharmacy and will be switching next time I need to fill a prescription.
Also, before all this happened my doctor told me that they gave another patient of his the wrong amount of pills, then when the doctor questioned them, they told the doctor the woman was lying. The doctor was able to prove CVS was lying after he ran tests on the woman and he condition didn’t change. This...
Read moreVERY CARELESS! BE AWARE OF THIS PHARMACY! I have been a CVS pharmacy for years. I always go to the one in Cedar Grove and never had an issue with them. I use the bayonne location when my kids visit their grandparents who live in bayonne! The worst pharmacy every. Worst customer service. They are very unreliable, don't take responsibility for their actions, and basically don't care about their customers. I had called last week because of an issue that was mishandled with my son's medication. I was told they pharmacy manager will be reaching out to me the next day, and a week later, I haven't heard from no one. They dispensed 2 bottles of unmixed antibiotic for my child. To then discover later that one of the bottles had expired in 08/22!!!!!! I'm glade I always check the expiration date on any medications that I give to my kids. But I'm sure there are parents out there that rely on the pharmacy and will fall victims to careless pharmacies like...
