The gentleman working there seems very kind and was pleasant. Unfortunately I expected more after reading all the reviews. I got the lamb and beef platter and it was just kinda sad. The spice level was good for the sauce but thatâs about where it ends. Both meets were extremely over cooked but not even crispy like Iâd expect from shawarma. It just tasted like reheated meat from a microwave. It was tough and dry and the quality control was so poor that there was a large piece that was like a chunk of cartilage and inedible, terrible, if Iâm being honest. The rice is pretty low quality too and not worth the carbs. Beyond all that, the only side the platter came with was a couple slices of pickles and some lettuce. Oh I also got a basic grocery story pita.
Not trying to be a jerk about it, but this is just not good. I was expecting at the very least a cucumber tomato salad or something⌠probably wonât go back which is unfortunate because I typically...
Read moreWe were craving some delicious falafel while in Manhattan, so we decided to try out a highly-rated spot we found on Google. When we arrived, the place wasn't too busy, but the man behind the counter greeted us with a warm, friendly smile - a rarity in the bustling city. We placed our orders and opted to dine in, and we're glad we did.
The small, cozy space had a inviting, welcoming atmosphere. The man working went above and beyond to have our food ready in a timely manner, and when we took our first bites, we were blown away. The falafel was absolutely amazing - perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Unfortunately, we got so caught up enjoying the meal that we didn't take enough photos, but we'll be sure to remedy that on our next visit. This place is a hidden gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic, mouthwatering falafel...
Read moreI am always for supporting start ups and this place happens to be close to where I work. Immediately upon entering, I was met with wonderful hospitality from the cashier. She answered all my questions and was really friendly. I've been here three times and ate something new with every visit. Their falafel is by far the star of the show. When I tried the chicken in a platter, I was really disappointed. It was chicken (you have to pay extra for protein) iceberg lettuce, and rice for the price of $15. They forgot to put sauce at the time. I wish they would incorporate more ingredients to justify the price or perhaps omit the extra fees on...
