Steak and Bake — Restaurant in Bayonne

I’m from Portland, ME..THE BIGGEST foodie city in America; & Jack & Rose (NOT of the titanic btw) made this place in Bayonne, NJ feel like HOME..from the atmosphere of the Mom-&-Pop-shop/ ‘hole-in-the-wall’ vibes (which we ALL know translates in ANY language to: “the food hits HARDDD”), their kind, playful, authentic, & connective banter with their costumers of all walks of life (Jack is a sly guy with a sense of humor & THE SKILLZ on the flattop grill & Rose’s kind smile & warm energies really help make the place familiar, like you’re in the kitchen of family making food for a special occasion or a holiday..), TO THE GRUB…PERFECT BREAKFAST…it was FAST, I left FULL (of food AND positive energy), & I don’t think I’ve ever sat down to write a review like this IN MY LIFE…I paused-for-the-munchin’-cause JUST TO GET THIS TO YOUUUU…I mean, NEED I SAY MORE?! JUST COME PLACE AN ORDER… NEW SLOGAN?:

First time here and the owner I believe was so welcoming, funny , and cool as hell. He had a sarcastic sense of humor which I adored , it really made me laugh. The food is made right in front of you and you can see everything being done which is a + to me. It was cooking & smelling so good. It tasted delicious. He ended up giving me two free cookies as a first time visitor which was so sweet. I ate them before I dug into my breakfast burrito and all I was saying was oh my god, the cookie was so soft and maybe I’m exaggerating or maybe I was hungry but those were one of the best cookies I’ve had. Placed an order online with specific instructions, a family member is very lactose intolerant and we wrote no cheese on a breakfast wrap. The order was brought and the item had cheese (no problem mistakes happen). When we called to tell them about the mishap, they insisted over and over again that we placed the order wrong and they wouldn't replace the item. Even when we told them that they put mayo on a bacon egg and cheese like we asked to in the specific instructions, they still insisted we placed the wrap order wrong. Never ordering here again
