It's a newly built place that tries very hard to give the millennial desire for "travel experiences" but in a very corporate way. If you look past your cynicism it is aesthetically visually appealing and I like the choices of what is featured (even the types of snacks available at the front desk are "healthy" and not "main stream").

Stylish hardwood finish floors and stoneware crockery abound.

The staff is pleasant, the neighborhood is a bit whatever (in 5 oaks off 158th), but there is a lot within easy driving distance between Beaverton and Hillsboro. A Fred Meyer and Costco are <5min drives from this location.

The pool is nice (but small, good for kids- no hottub); fitness room is better equipped than most hotel gyms- 2 adjustable benches, full dumbells up to 50lbs, ample (new with all the bells and whistles) cardio machines, water dispenser, towels, range of weighted balls and kettle bells,and 3 iso machines (bench, leg press, lat pull-down). Sadly no cable machine nor high bar for pull-ups etc.

Breakfast is definitely superior to most chain continental Breakfast bars (actual egg chef and a variety of egg based daily specials, yogurt bar with fresh toppings, overnight oats, etc.).

They have basketball courts and an outside grilling/gathering area.

Lobby area is nice, lots of couches and high backed chairs + board games for socializing in person (if that is your bag in 2021). Coffee table books on travel and local history, etc..

No in-room toaster nor kcup coffee machine (that I could find anyway, I am in a full kitchen suite) but a full sized fridge and since it's new all the cooking and cutlery are in decent shape/quality if you want to cook in your room. Lobby has a fancy 1 button espresso machine and drip coffee/hot water generally always available vs making it in your room, so it's a wash IMO.

Filtered tap/drinking water in rooms and dispenser (liquid) soaps in the showers/tubs. Yay, small environmental decisions.

Bed/mattress is super comfortable (I'm a soft bed guy)! High quality comforters and pillows to snuggle into.

In-room AC controls seem to work well.

The TVs are new (LG 55" 4k/60hz), but sadly are burdened with the Bonvoy craptastic user experience they have rolled out over the past couple of years. It's better than some Bonvoy properties in that they support direct connection of HDMI devices and wifi streaming of devices directly to the TV, but the TV controls and inputs are locked down by default (you have to use the HDMI port in the control box to hard connect and retain TV functionality). This matters if you bring a console (and not really for a streaming stick unless HAHA! old gen chromecast devices) the "control box" HDMI ports will create wireless controller input/frame delay lag + impact visual quality at 4k- but bypassing the control box HDMI via co-opting the main control box HDMI connection to the TV gives you back what is lost... at the expense of volume control in the TV (adjust in game/app or console settings if possible). This type of hotel/TV locked down connectivity experience is done better by Hilton overall IME.

There is no segregated wifi/internet (no up-charge/status perk for higher bandwidth), BUT the base speed is fast (200Mbit symmetric speed tests, YMMV on congestion during the day/evening).

My only ding is I'm in a handicapped suite and the adjustable shower head of the walk-in is loose so locking it in place to take a "normal" shower is harder than it needs to be and maintenence still hasn't fixed it a week into my stay. No bathtub for obvious reasons.

Pet friendly and compares favorably to Residence Inn as an extended stay hotel in the Bonvoy (Marriott) brand. It's a bit cheaper actually but the rooms are also slightly smaller.
