The 3 stars isn't because of the wetland itself. It's how small the area to view it is. Plus IF you're a woman, I wouldn't feel comfortable going here solo. Kind of sketchy since it's very secluded behind some businesses.
I enjoyed it but felt anxious whenever someone would pull up with their family or themselves. Just me tho.
But overall, I saw plenty of birds. Canada Geese, Red winged blackbird, American crows, cranes, ducks, and a few killdeers. Through great efforts of staff and volunteers this area restores native flora and fauna. And it even has a protected turtle nesting zone!
You can access it from Greenway Park and meander back through the area on visible foot-worn paths. Just stay mindful of current water levels since paths will flood out.
