This dark spot is a new grease stain, from setting a bag of 2 burritos down. I know I have muddy dog paw seats, but this is grease that got all over my car. I tried eating my burrito before realizing what happened to my seat, I got grease: on my steering wheel, mounted phone, dash, pants, shirt, jacket, side door, and mat. This is from grease just dripping out the bottom at steady rate. Not some droplets. I even covered it with the foil it came with, in the bag, with a layer of napkins. In other words, I was being careful - again I hadn’t realized how bad the leak was otherwise I just wouldn’t have even tried. And I ordered a burrito because I would be traveling - had I wanted grease to fall into my lap I would’ve gotten something else.
All that aside I tried being very polite, and had to be very firm in asking for a refund. I had pushback, and had to all but break down my points in a bullet list to get my refund. I’m coming out of a bad financial spell and sickness, this was a treat for me that I really wanted. Instead I wasted an hour of my time.
Luckily I clean houses and had supplies in the back of my car, otherwise I would’ve been way more upset. I used many work rags and straight up isopropyl alcohol to soak up the amount of grease that went into my vehicle. From wrapped food.
Come on y’all, seriously.
And as a side, I didn’t get what I actually ordered. But I really wasn’t going to be picky until I literally couldn’t eat my meal. I get that stuff happens - but this entire situation...
Read moreI used to work in Vancouver, WA and the Muchas Gracias location up there is amazing! The chips are consistently hot and taste fresh, the chimichanga's are crispy (and you're even able to get Carne Asada instead of Beef/Chicken if you're okay with paying more), and everything is made really well.
This location is really hit or miss. Sometimes the Chimichanga's come out golden brown and crispy, other times it's soggy or only crispy on parts. Sometimes the Oregon Burrito is really well balanced and flavorful, other times they load up on one particular ingredient or the Carne Asada tastes odd. I have tried requesting it to be crispy in the Grubhub details/comments but it's still hit or miss. This applies for both pick-up and delivery - and I understand with delivery it's not really always on them since there's so many factors. But like I said, it's hit or miss - I have gotten it crispy when delivered before. And have had issues with items being made right even when picking up.
If there was more consistent quality similar to the Vancouver location, it would be 4-5 stars (especially for Portland which doesn't generally have great Mexican Food), and it's probably the closest you'll find to Arizona style Mexican food if you're a transplant. Otherwise I would recommend it with the caveat that it's about 50/50. For delivery you're better off going with soft foods (like the...
Read moreI placed an ordered for carne asada fries on my way home and normally incredibly happy with the food. I had asked and was charged an additional $3 for extra guacamole. I received my food and drove home, only to discover that there was barely any guacamole on the carne asada fries.
So I called up the location to report this issue with my order. The person who I spoke with talked with the chief then called me a liar. So I decided to drive all the back to the restaurant.
When I arrive I show them the carne asada fries with barely any guacamole on it and they agree to remake the order. Fine. I am okay, if I get what I paid for, but when I checked the new order there was even less guacamole.
I pointed this out to them and asked, "This is extra guacamole?" They responded with, "Yes, that's extra guacamole."
I promptly asked for a refund. And was given cash, when I paid with a card. Weird, but okay.
It was simply poor customer service! I gave them every opportunity to make it right and not only were they unwilling, they were smug about it. I will not...
