Doc's Basement — Attraction in Belmont

This is the best comic book shop in the surrounding Charlotte area and even on par with the Gold Standard of NC comic book stores: Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find!

Sam aka Doc the owner of the shop is a stand up guy, and even stopped by on his day off to greet me and my daughter at the shop to help me start my pull list after not collecting single issues and selling off my collection in 2017, Sam has been there to guide me in my journey to getting back into monthly comics through Marvel, DC , Image, and even more obscure indie publishers like Vault and Ablaze. This shop also offers physical copies of previews for their reservist to make sure they don’t miss out on any potentially epic new titles or hidden gems.

Doc and his staff are very family oriented and made my daughter feel welcome helping her find comics for younger readers, and she appreciated the candy they keep in stock.

If he does not have something he will do his best to get it for you, and despite being busy outside of the shop, Doc is always willing to help his customers get what they want. Doc even made a special effort to order my Conan and Kull Omnis for me months in advance of release!

It’s fantastic to have a comic store the quality of Docs in Belmont. Docs Comics is a great addition to the community. Docs is a small comic book store but do not let the size of the store fool you, their attention to detail, organization, cleanliness, and customer service is second to none. Doc's is a hidden gem in Belmont. The store itself is very clean and modern. It's not the biggest space but the way the space is utilized is really out of this world. Topping off the really cool variety of merchandise, the game room and of course the comics is Doc himself. If you're lucky enough to find yourself in the Basement while Doc is there, I guarantee you'll make Doc's your place for comics. That's how it worked for...
