UPDATED REVIEW: In retaliation to this one-star review, the business made the decision to ban me from every Quality Roots location citing that it was unacceptable how I was “targeting an employee” in my review.
I attempted to contact the business multiple times and that is all they would say about the decision. Super weird and uncomfortable situation. Hopefully others see this and can avoid it happening to them.
Oh. And they also sold us defective cartridges. I have bought many red bud roots carts over the past couple years and this store is the only one who has sold defective ones of this brand. You can see in the picture the oil leaked in to the mouthpiece of the cartridge.
3/30 afternoon less than a mile away from Quality Roots in Hamtramck: blue jeep trying to pass me on the shoulder of the road. I hold my horn for a while to make sure the person doesn’t hit me since they are driving erratically and seem to be under the influence. Driver then seems upset that I used my horn at them, proceeds to speed well over the speed limit to pass me. Driver turns out to be an employee at Quality Roots and they proceed to lie to staff - telling security guard Joseph that I was speeding and needed to slow down — tough to see how that adds up considering the worker started behind me and ended up passing me. Read moreI visited this dispensary today, 06/12/24, at 5:50 PM to pick up my order. I have been a regular customer for almost a year and have always had positive interactions. However, today's experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
When I arrived, I walked in with my service dog, as I have done on previous visits. The gentleman at the front desk was very rude and immediately said, "You won't go in with that dog." I politely explained that my dog is a service animal and offered to show documentation. Instead of understanding, he responded rudely with, "I don't think so, how so?" and continued to express disbelief despite my assurances.
He then insisted on calling his manager and asked another employee, "Have you seen this guy here before?" Meanwhile, he allowed customers behind me in line to go ahead, further adding to my frustration and humiliation.
I was shocked by this treatment, especially as a long-term customer. This experience has made me reconsider my loyalty to this dispensary. If this is how they treat customers with service animals, I will likely need to find another place to shop. It’s disheartening to be treated this way, and I hope management addresses this issue promptly to ensure it doesn’t...

Update for 2025: After standing at the counter for a while waiting for two employees that were behind the counter and receiving no service, Leah and another employee walked out. She started to interact with the two customers that were also waiting for help. I was trying to inform her that i was also a customer but she cut me off and said well she couldnt tell cause i wasnt standing in the line queue. The other customer was also trying to inform her that i was there first. There were only three ppl, including me, standing there waiting. I had decided to look at the laminated price page while i waited for my service. As i was trying to tell her that i was just looking at the paper while i waited, she cute me off again rudely and aggressively and said “she didnt know what was going on because she just got up front.” If she would have stopped cutting me off and being rude, she would have heard the story.
